Truly Awful Performances By A Lead Actor

LOL.

Well, i mean there are opinions and all that and maybe The Godfather movies are an acquired taste but it just boggles my mind that anybody could say Brando's performance is in any way bad.

Mickey Rourke in Prayer for the Dying - his accent was just appalling, it took to wander around Ireland, Scotland, parts of the UK before giving up completely and ending up back in the US.

Andi MacDowell in everything, including those adverts, but is dreadful in Four Weddings, just dreadful

Kirsten Dunst was excellent as a child actress in Interview with a vampire (although she wasn't the lead) ofcourse.
I really thought she would blossom into something special as an adult but she's been disappointing.

Keira Knightley, the woman with the wonky mouth and two backs, is easily the worst British female lead in years. She is usually out acted by the furniture in most of her films.
Truly , truly awful and the worst of it is that people in the British industry seem to think she is what 'the public' wants to see. We don't.

He won the Oscar for the speech at Charlie's school in the end. I thought he was incredible throughout the film, and it's my favourite performance of his.

She's not a great actress, and her time to step down is nigh, as she's getting older, and she doesn't appear to be gaining much experience as an actress - that is to say, she's not learning anything new.

About her being ginger. I know it's all in the name of fun, but your comment will one day be seen as highly racist, in the same way as not liking someone in the sixties because they're, "coloured," is completely racist now. Be careful.

Kirsten Dunst looks like a character from Oblivion. She's rough and not a great actress. I wouldn't say she's bad though.

Keira Knightly is not a good actress, but sales in Blu-Ray and DVD skyrocket, when:

1) she's in the film.

&

2) she gets her kit off. The pause button is a stroke of toss-off-able genius.

You see the reason why i rate it as bad is because i can never actually make out what he is saying. even with subtitles i am still distracted by the mumbling. So even though it is a highly respected performance i never got to experience so admittedly my review isn't a fair one.

He was bloody awful in superman at least give me that much.

Another vote for Nicholas Cage here, this time for the truly appalling 'Wicker Man' remake.

"Not the bees! Not the bees!"

Comedy gold. :D

He's never struck me as a particularly good actor - but that's what you get when you try and find someone who looks like a character from a book I guess.

I thought all the leaRAB in the New Mummy film were poor, I love Brendon Frazer but the chemistry wasn't there with the actress who plays his wife (the last one was far better) and then acting seemed very wooden in places.

Keanu Reeves- Dracula, The Devils Advocate, Contantine, Dangerous Liasons, Thumbsucker, Somethings Gotta Give, Chain Reaction, (the only performance of his i liked was in The Gift)

Keira Knightley- Pirates Of The Caribbean 1,2 & 3, Pride & Prejudice, Domino, The Jacket, Silk, King Arthur, Bend It Like Beckham, The Hole, Love Actually

I liked her in Casino and Total Recall.

I'd say Keanu Reeves in Constantine. His performance wasn't really worse than in his other films (eg The Matrix), but for me in this one it really jarred. He gets to make out with Rachel Weisz and somehow makes it look boring.
