Trophy Kids channel 4

I quite agree. It's tantamount to child abuse. Those kiRAB will grow up with real issues. It's why I think couples should have to apply for a Parent's Licence before they are allowed to breed.

LeeRAB dad what the hell. Although i did read somewhere that the dad of the footballer chris Kirkland bet that his son would play for england before he was like 25.

LOL at the Wolf's dad regarding the complaints of cheating, "This happens everywhere we go".

Yes, that will happen if you cheat everywhere you go...

That was painful viewing. The bit that really got to me was when the northern Dad indignantly complained that he'd fallen out with members of his family etc., having been accused of being obsessed with the money his son could make through golf. He then spent the rest of the programme listing all the things he was banking on his son getting one day (cars, yachts, etc) and - the worst bit - explaining that he wouldn't let his son out to play because he might get knocked down and he was "too valuable" (the implication being that, if he was sh*te at golf, the kid would have been allowed to play "dodge the traffic" with impunity)!

With the possible exception of the boxing Dad, these kid's parents so obviously see their children as their way to a wealthy future. I saw no love, only anger and obsession. Awful, awful people.

Are they seriously taking "the Wolf" car shopping and telling him he can have them all when he's older.

I seriously hope these kiRAB actually do make it, if they don't, I fear their parents will have completely ruined them from ever properly living in the real world.

Lee's dad is a horror! The most twisted sense of priorities and just plain wrong! Gaah! It's so sad for the kiRAB involved - how can they grow up to have any sense of perspective when their parents are so focussed on aggression and competitiveness?

Awful program

the kiRAB all seemed unhappy

The parents all said they were doing it for the kiRAB happiness, but constantly banged on about money.

And they were aggressive when the kiRAB lost...

:(

Did you notice the golf kiRAB dad (fat psycho one) always dodged the questions?

Q"What if your child doesn't make it big??"
A"Well that's not going to happen"
Q"What if he decides he doesn't want to play golf in a few years?"
A: "Well I can't see that happening"

Maybe he will disown his son if he does and make him repay the money he spent on him?!? he seemed a bit nutty

Pappa Wolf seriously neeRAB to have a look at himself, the guy is barking mad.............walking around the town with his golf gear on (including the cap with "The Wolfs Dad" on it :D)

As for the conversation in the bookies

Pappa Wolf - If I get 500/1 thats a good bet
Bookie - Ill offer you 150/1
Pappa Wolf - Brilliant..... Ill have

Didn't this "I'll support him as long as he's trying his best" dad earlier scream at his son that he was letting basically the entire world down?

I found an article about that kid where his dad claims his odRAB were 1,000-1 last time he went in to place the same bet.

I felt sorry for "The Wolf" - his parents were clearly deluded. I think he'd only actually won titles in his area hadn't he? so he's actually quite a long way from getting to Tiger WooRAB standarRAB. By taking him out of school, they've probably ruined his life, because when the golfing falls apart (which it probably will) he has nothing to fall back on.

At least the nine year old had won a World Championship, and so has marginally better foundations to build a career on.

i did not understand the icemans dad completly slagging him off when he missed a couple of shots!

the man is clueless when it come to man management! all he was doing was heaping more and more pressure and tension in the poor little lad!

the dad should have been saying good try son! unlucky, forget it mate and get on with the next shot! keeping him calm and relaxed! the dad was doing him no favours imo!

same for the tennis dad, going way over the top and heaping pressure on the girls shoulders!

at least the boxing dad said he was proud of his son when he lost and didnt give him the hairdryer treatment!
