HAHA! Me too, for sure :) His looks were absolutely heart breaking. I wouldn't have been able to do it, If i were Isolde. I prolly woulda broken down and told Lord Marke right off. Woulda been hell of a lot less drama, that's for sure! But like Isolde, I prolly woulda ended up skeaing around with Tristan. Between the attraction there, and the love that had for one another... no way it coulda been different.

I just wish the ending hadn't been what it was :(

I loved the period the movie was set in. I don't think we would love it as much if it was set in modern day you know. It's that classic-ness of the era that makes it so heartmelting.

I mean they didn't have e-mail or anything to 'warn' one another or keep in contact etc, Whereas if the movie was done in modern day time, that would have been the question you know, why didn't he just call or she call etc.

I loved James in this role, I'd love to see him do more period pieces like this.

Mel Gibson did a few, like Braveheart, The Patriot.

So that's what I mean when I say James should do more period pieces.

Hey peeps! Just saw this film and liked it.

The way Tristan looks at Isolde is... you know, unbearable. If Tristan looks at me like that, I'd probably faint and die :look:

Hey all,
1) please add me to the list.
2) I just rented and watched this movie a couple of hours ago...I absoultely loved it. I was really surprised. I had a feeling I would like it, but the historical feel of it was really great as well as the love story (Even though as I've read on Imdb alot of the historical stuff is off, but the feel is there!)
I just wanted to rave about how much I enjoyed it with others so I sought out this thread.

PennyLane16- Great to hear! Hope you enjoy! Is this your first time seeing it?

Tiger Lily- Sorry to hear you did not enjoy it on DVD :(

I watched this movie two days ago and I totally love it. I'm a huge fan of forbidden love stories and the Tristan&Isolde story is beautiful and heartbreaking.
I always like James Franco but now I like him more because he gave a great performance in this movie.

Sounds like me :)

Oh man... couldn't they have just put in a few deleted scenes? What's the harm in that!?

Same here. Their only 'happiness' in the film was when they were in Ireland!

Same here

Great movie! too bad it didnt get the press it deserved!!
