Triangle..... What was it about?

Ah, now this is where you need to assemble all of the pieces into a likely resolution. Really it's a chicken/egg situation -which came first? :)

That's what I love about smart films like this - it gets me thinking and working out the puzzle. When you look at it closely enough and understand it then you can really see how flawless it is in terms of the writing, etc.

Went to see this yesterday. Pretty decent, but damn confusing!
I was worried it was going to be rubbish at first. The CGI seagulls were terrible!

Flawless in terms of it getting you thinking perhaps, but certainly not flawless in the writing. The standard Star Trek TNG temporal paradox explanation would say that she's somehow causing the creation of the temporal loop by looking to get in to it. This would explain why when you see MG after the car crash, she wants to go to the harbour to get on the boat again, presumably knowing full well what will happen.

But much like Total Recall, the film gets nowhere near to explaining anything at all. Not that I want all the dots to be joined up, although a few pointers would be nice.

I would put Triangle next to Total Recall on my shelf called Watch with your brain turned off, and don't even start to analyse it, because if you do, you'll just tie your brain in knots.

I heard the reviews say it was a good film. I dont know how i feel about this film? Slightly disappointed?? I don't know really. Not so much a storyline, more a unravelling of a 'twist', if that makes sense?

What a curious attitude. I'd put it alone on a shelf called:

Watch if you want to have your brain well and truly exercised and your imagination invigorated

But, well, if you don't like it then fair enough.

I think that's harsh. By all means, take the viewer away from the place they thought you'd taken them to, but then not to take them anywhere, or allow them to formulate a decent, logical idea as to where they should take themselves, isn't rewarding to me. It just leaves me with the feeling that I've spent 1hr 40 mins watching something that turned out to be of little consequence because it had no logical resolution, explained or otherwise.

Two people can argue over Triangle just as people have been arguing over Total Recall for 20 years. None of them have won their arguments, and none of them are any the wiser.

Only just bought this on DVD, wasn't expecting much as I only had it recommended to me by a friend, but I really loved it. It's a film that makes you think - a LOT. Great combination of creepy suspense, a dash of horror, some possibly supernatural (maybe even sci-fi?) elements and it will really engage your brain cells.

Really, really loved it - nicely written and well acted too.

I'd thoroughly recommend it to anyone that likes a film that makes you think and which you can ponder over afterwarRAB and discuss with others. Fans of Memento and the best "what the &^*

I rented this and watched it last night.

I didn't go it expecting too much (although I had heard that it was different to your typical slasher flick, that's what made me want to see it) but ended up quite impressed. Definitely more interesting/thought-provoking then your standard horror fare. In fact, I couldn't stop thinking about the film for a while afterwarRAB, which is usually a sign that you've either watched a good film, or a really awful one!

I listened to the director's commentary and he said he was partly inspired by both The Shining and Memento. No wonder I liked it then, as they're two of my favourite films. :)

Spot on.

Saw this last night, going to watch it again this afternoon. Loved it.

See it if you liked Memento, Moon and Donnie Darko.

My GF hated it, but she also hated the films I just mentioned too as she wants to switch her brain off during a film. She was expecting it to be just another rubbish slasher flick. I'm so glad it wasn't. :D

Watched it last night I thought this film was great! I'm going to watch it again though to try and figure some things out lol

Just got done reading this on imdb.. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1187064/board/nest/159644011 not sure if im in agreement on some of the clues but this guys post did make a few things make sense.
