**TRANSFORMERS MOVIE** The review you've been waiting for! v.all that shit by me

honestly, i thought it was a lot better than i had originally expected. i thought it was gonna be kinda lame, but some of those action sequences had me gripping my seat!

I obviously don't have any experience directing a movie, but at least I have a background in visual storytelling, not just making shit look cool in a 2 minute span

and all of you idiots who are saying we're nitpicking shit because it's not like the G1 obviously didn't read a fucking thing I've posted in here. The vast majority of my gripes are about piss poor pacing and storytelling.

Shit batman begins had worse action scenes, with those edits you could barely see Batman fighting. But hey it was Nolan he did momento, i didnt hear such hatred then

that is a good point...they did say that basically everything we had came from reverse engineering Megatron. That would also maybe explain why Frenzy was able to hack it so fast

he didn't say anything about hurting Megs, he said it can't fall into Megs hands...

so Prime would rather die and take the all spark w/ him then let Megs get it and hurt the Earthlings....

This would be the perfect movie if GERT READY FOR IT......it had less action scenes. The fight scenes in the end just gave me a headache, you dont have to show EVERYTHING especially if you can do it right...leave something for the imagination. Prime example is the BumbleBee/barricade fight scene. The chase scene between them was the best in the movie and it wasnt even that action packed.

One question is why the allspark turned technology into decepticons instead of autobots? Is Optimum Prime and autobots actually the "bad guys" of thier civilization while Megatron and his discepticons the "good guys"? (You know according to their own civilization).

I absolutely loved the movie myself.

I did feel there were places that needed more character development however. And the couple of slow downs and the "love story" that could've been done without.

I completely hated that throughout almost the entire movie there were no Decepticons with the exception of Barricade and Frenzy, then suddenly they come out of the woodworks. Yes you see Blackout early, and a Scorponok who should in theory still be alive, albeit damaged. But there were many more Transformers who needed more story IMO.

I too was sorely disappointed when Jazz was ripped in half without so much as even a grunt of effort on Megatron's part. It was almost as if Jazz was a petty weakling with no real strength to speak of. I did enjoy the way he transformed though, I thought that was cool. Up until the end he was probably my favorite Autobot, being a Solstice withstanding. I think Ironhide was a comedic sidekick he wasn't the "weapons master" as he was introduced, he wasn't a bodyguard as he was in the original series he was there for comedy and his lines and voice revealed that. Ratchet looked good. His face even looked good, he needed more lines.

I still think it's the best movie I've seen this year, and it will blow up big in this years box office. I am very interested to see the sequels now, and kind of hoping that Bay does not get signed on for the others just so we can get some more Transformer development.

In the movie he was an alien Jet, I wasn't saying he was an SU-37 in the movie. What I was saying that the plane going skyward in the credits didn't look like an F-22 to me, it looked like an SU-37. I could have sworn that I saw canard wings and round nozzles on the back. It was so quick though, so I'm not sure.

WTF does product placement have to do with this? The film cost ~150 end fucking story.

So you're going to try and tell me that any fucking EP or comic from TF G1 - Armada or whatever the fuck is the newest is just as "dark" and adult as the storylines in Xmen, Spiderman and Batman comics. Yeah let's not try and be delusional or anything there.
