Hi all - Love the site.... have been an avid reader (lurker?) for months, but I'm popping my "1st post" cherry with this...
I need some enlightenment - I'm planning to get a trailer for my '07 Ultra for some long trips I have planned. Have Stage 1 kit w/SE performance tuner installed, as well as the oil temp fairing gague & an oil cooler, so I hope any possible power &/or oil issues are addressed. A Stage 2 kit may be installed this winter - but only of the dealer offers it at 25% off like they did last winter... anyhow...
I have spoke with a gentlemen (who seemed relatively sane) who pulls a Fibroconcept Cruiser XL trailer & uses the Kuryakyn hitch & Plug&Play HD harness installed. No reported issues, and he said the P&P harness was nice becasue it allowed him to put the trailer plug-in up underneath his Tour-Pak attached behind the license plate on the plate/Tour Pak support bracket to keep it hidden and away from elements & road spray (is this something that should be a consideration?).
I currently have a line on a virtually new Cruiser XL trailer loaded for half the msrp of just over $4100CDN.
Before I pull the trigger on the trailer deal, I was hoping to get some experienced advice and insight about both the trailer (pros/cons), and the Kuryakyn gear...
Thanks in advance for any and all info you can give...
