Toy story 3

Finally got around to watching it today. Absolutely wonderful, I don't think they could have done it better. Heard lots about people crying at the ending, but it was the montage at the start with "You've Got a Friend in Me" that did it for me. Pixar have always been brilliant, but since Wall-E they've moved on to a whole other level, not just producing exceptional children's animation, but just incredibly good films.

Being a big Ghibli fan, I somehow I just about managed to stop myself from squealing with delight when the Totoro toy appeared on screen.

And how good was the short, Day and Night, by the way? Stunning.
 
Thing is, i was watching it, getting all worked up and teary eyed as well and I was thinking "No, they can't die...can they?".

I honestly wasn't sure - i was thinking that because it was probably the final film, that at least one might have bought it but I really wasn't sure - that's probably what made it more intense i guess.
 
I've heard that there will be a few shorts, but no more full length films. I agree that another sequel would ruin TS3, for me at least.
 
That made me so sad too :( Lotso seemed like an angry father to me who ran away and whose relationship turned sour, he was resentful Daisy lost and "replaced" him, he felt if Daisy didnt love him nobody could :(
That part when Big Baby was sitting on the swing looking up at the moon was the 1st sign he had a heart underneath, he showed this when he remembered Daisy :cry:

I thought it was amazing! I didn't actually cry though even though the ending probably would have made me want to reach for the tissues normally, I did really need the toilet. :o Lol. I was almost getting up to go but the film was about 5/10 mins away from ending.

10/10 amazing movie.
I adored the scene when the toys were preparing for their death; no speech at all but the way they all held hanRAB without saying anything did make me want to cry..
 
It's a wonder that Whoopi Goldberg was cast as the octopus (Stretch). She literally had about four lines and I wouldn't have know it was her had I not glanced at the cast list before going.
 
Saw it tonight and while I agree one or two scenes seem a bit familiar, overall I thought it was brilliant. Really funny,although at times dark and the new characters were great. The final scenes with Andy were a perfect finale and I hope that they will leave the franchise their as it was a great ending.
 
I saw the film at it's premiere in Edinburgh a month or so ago (Sean Connery was there!!) and it was ace!! Saw it again yesterday but in 2D this time and it's even better second time around. I think I may have cried more yesterday actually. A second watch is highly recommended - so much stuff that you miss the first time!!

Off to see it for a third time tomorrow!! :P

toy story3 was excellent it brought a tear to my eye in the final 20 minutes of the movie. SPOILERS!!!!!
WAS so sad when they were all facing there death
definetly a fitting end to the franchise if this is the last one

i was 7 when the 1st came out and now im 22 and i still love it just as much.

this has been pixars biggest ever opening out of all there movies so far
 
I thought it was great, I cried twice and I would see it again. But the first film is still my favourite. Wouldn't see it in 3D again though it wasn't all that good. When I saw Street Dance 3D it was much better effects really popped out at you, but Toy Story didn't so much.
 
There shouldn't be. This movie ended the series perfectly. Anything else would ruin it.

What might be nice are direct-to-video semi-sequels where the toys are only seen "in character" as cowboys, spacemen, etc. in other adventures, where you don't see them as "toys", per se, and so don't break that barrier set up now as to their future (which was covered in TS3 is such a way that it neeRAB to be left alone).
 
Gutted! Had you seen the first two when they first came out? And/or did you play with toys a lot as a child?

These are generally the two factors which decide whether or not you'd be on the same emotional wavelengths of the film and its producers.
 
Did anyone feel bad for Lotso? I didnt exactly feel sorry for him, I mean he was evil and turned the daycare centre into a corrupt system. BUT remember he was "replaced" by another Lotso by the kid who loved him without hesitation :(
 
Just seen it today, absolutely fantastic, possibly my favourite of the trilogy. Shame the 3D wasn't that impressive, but the film itself was terrific.
 
saw this last night and it was bloody fantastic TS is such a great franchise :D i have waited 11 years for this film and it did not disappoint the last 20mins had me tears luckily my 3d glasses covered my tears:cry::o:p

and i have to say the Ken and Barbie scenes had me in STITCHES laughing :D

and i think even though its aimed for kiRAB they have really worked well so the fans like me who grew up with will please us TS 3 defo wrapped things up nicely. and the audience in my cinema were mainly adults :D with some kiRAB 'who were bloody annoying and kept screaming'.

The last scene where Andy leaves Woody and Buzz etc is soo sad :cry: and when there facing death to while there holding hanRAB
imo this is the best trilogy out there 10/10.
