Toy Story 1 & 2 in 3D

Anyone planning on checking out the Double Feature of Toy Story 1 & 2 in 3D? I think this is a really cool idea for Pixar to do, especially considering these movies are somehow already almost 15 years old! This seems perfect for families with kids who never got a chance to see the film that started it all for Pixar in theaters.

No interest in these 3D gimmicks, but I would like to finally see Toy Story 2 one of these days. For some reason, it's just always eluded me. Love the first one, though, and have fond memories of seeing it in the theater. :)

I might if I'm not too busy with school work and they're playing somewhere near me. Considering that I have both movies on video, though I should really get DVD copies of them one of these days, I'm not seriously wanting to go see them either. Still, the promos look pretty cool and I remember how much I enjoyed seeing Toy Story 2 in theaters many years ago.

My friends and i were born 1 year after the first toy story was made but toy story 1 and 2 were our favorite movies growing up. We're all gonna go see it fall break.

I will be checking this out, especially since Toy Story is the only Pixar film I haven't seen on the big screen!!

I heard that Pixar has totally reworked the film to work in 3D. That is, rather than just putting the film through the 3D process like Nightmare Before Christmas, they are actually moving around the models to take full advantage of the 3D effects. Has anyone heard this?

I believe that they did something similar when producing the full frame version of the film for home video. They moved around the models so that the framing would be better for full screen.

If this is true, good on them for taking the time to make their product look good!

No chance, considering that I can't even see 3-D because of an eye condition I've had for my entire life. Besides, I have perfectly good video copies, and rewatching a movie I already own is cheaper than paying 8 bucks to watch a 3-D version that looks worse to me than the 2-D version. :p

To be honest I like the 3D stuff, I mean I don't hate regular projection, but in my opinion, if have the opportunity to see something 3D, I'm definitely going to take advantage of it and would choose it over regular projection.

I'm also looking forward to this one for nostalgic reasons... that and in anticipation of Toy Story 3! I heard that during intermission between 1 & 2 they are going to be showing footage from TS3.

I've seen both several times both on my own and my three-year-old niece seems to watch nothing but Toy Story and the Incredibles, but I'll definitely check them out. I don't think I saw Toy Story 2 in the theater.

I can't believe it. It is already coming out tomorrow. Seems like I heard about the first two coming back out in 3D a week ago when it was months ago. Times flys by really fast.

Anyone else really excited for it? Me and my buddy are going to see it this weeked, hopfully tomorrow. I am stoked.
