Toy Story 1 & 2 in 3D

Pretty much any condition that affects your binocular vision makes 3-D completely ineffective. My wife had really bad lazy eye as a child (the scientific term is amblyopia), and her left eye still doesn't really focus, so no paying extra for 3-D tickets for us. No point in popping an extra $3-5 just to give my wife a massive headache. I do that all the time for free :).

I think the old red/green 3-D techniques also meant that people who were color blind had trouble with them too. Regardless, there's a non-trivial number of people who still can't see the newer 3-D projection techinques, and I think the number's high enough to give the lie to the beliefs that 3-D is the Wave of the Future as Jeff Katzenberg would have it.

I don't have trouble seeing 3-D, but I still don't like it. I don't like having to put on big glasses through a whole movie just to see a gimmicky effect. I prefer regular 2-D by far. Is it playing in 2-D or just 3-D?

Just got back from seeing this with some friends, and I gotta say, the 3D experiance felt like it enhanced the the movies altogether. It felt almost like Toy Story was made for 3D, but I did hear they moved the models around for the 3D versions.

It felt great to see good 'ol sheriff Woody and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command on the big screen again. I noticed a lot of stuff I didn't notice when I was a kid. It was really fun to go, and my friends had fun too.

Also, that Toy Story 3 trailer was great.
Buzz being reactivated in Spanish had to be the high point of the trailer lol

On an unrelated note, me and my friend laughed so hard when a little kid was trying to pull a lever on the "Saw V" cardboard stand up. It has nothing to do with Toy Story, but I felt like it added to my experiance in some way :D

Nice! I'm glad to hear that people who saw the films enjoyed them. The reviews that I've been reading have all been pretty positive. That obviously the films are still enjoyable after all these years and that the 3D aspect really enhanced the experience. Slash Films has a nice review up if you want to check it out.

I liked the trailer more than I thought I would, except for the beginning part with Andy growing up.

Am I the only one that found the "recalled" Buzz story more appealing even if it was another 'lets go save ___" Toy Story movie?

I don't know the movie seems like it'll focus more on Andy growing up instead of the toys, and it feels too much like the Brave little Toaster to me.
