There are a lot of boats on location at MC-252. Not sure about that one, but I know of a few others out there.

You should troll the other thread where people think BP is going to get fined 6.2 Trillion dollars or 4,200 dollars for every barrel of oil that is lost in the gulf.

Truth but BOP maintenance and well control is the responsibility of Transocean. If they knew their equipment was damaged they should have gone on downtime to fix it. They didnt. A friend of mine works at Cameron and says Transocean hasn't had any Cameron techs work on that stack in years. They always brought out a third party (cheaper) company for maintenance.

BigBronco, do you any other pictures of the BOP or subsea equipment that you can share? That's one of the best pictures I've seen yet. Thanks.

Exact same thing that my company's VP of drilling said regarding this issue this morning. He went pretty in depth on how something like this could happen and then explained the whole top kill procedure to my boss and I. Pretty interesting stuff.

yeah, i realized when what you had was still an order of magnitude different that the kind folks at leinekugel's were screwing me up

I do but not of that BOP. I have pictures of most subsea equipment that I have installed.

Only issue is that my photos are on my external hard drive at my home. I am out of town back in Houston so I don't have them on me.
