'Top kill' fails, BP moves on 'to next option'

People should quit bitching about who's going to pay, just fucking do it, then sue BP/Transocean/Halliburton for the money later.

"Hey, we can do something! But nobody is paying us! We can save our land! But nobody is paying us! I guess we'll just sit here, worthless, and bitch about it rather than fucking rolling up our sleeves and getting to work until somebody promises to pay us!"
 
So... BP is trying something which was never designed to be used on an underwater well... so it means they're cheap

so we've got an unprecedented event at unprecedented depths with a failsafe that somehow failed when it shouldnt have....

It just baffles me on how you would let someone drill for fucking oil in a huge ocean without crazy amounts of backup plans other than just a "failsafe".

maybe i just dont get it, is there a reason why everyone else, based on whatever, considers 5000ft to be ~2200psi and your parents think its 4 times higher than that?
