Top 5 Greatest Frontmen of All-Time

1. Sir Mick Jagger
2. Robert Plant
3. Jim Morrison
4. Freddy Mercury
5. Roger Daltrey

I think these are the five most important and influential rock frontmen. Virtually every stylistic trend post 1968 stems from these legenRAB.

I exclude greats like Prince, David Bowie and James Brown on the basis that when I think "frontman" I think of the lead singer in a great band that are more or less equals creatively. With these legenRAB, let's face it, they are the center of everything and by far the most talented in relation to the people they play with.

1. Peter Garbiel (Genesis)
2. Jimi Hendrix
3. Elvis Presley
3. Ronnie Van Zant (Lynyrd Skynyrd)
5. Julian Casablancas (The Strokes)

honorable mentions to Geddy Lee for playing bass, foot-pedal synth, and keyboard while singing - talk about multi-tasking

Seriously what is wrong with you people , forgot about Iggy Pop?

1. Iggy Pop
2. Jim Morrison
3. HR (Bad Brains in the old days that is)
4. Paul Westberg
5. Stephen Malkmus

I like Pearl Jam but I don't think they're up there, still get Ten and Vs out every now and again and I enjoy them. 5 greatest front men and IMO Eddie Vedder isn't one of them.

Freddie Mercury
James Brown
Jerry Lee Lewis
Bruce Springsteen
Iggy Pop

something like this in terms of Greatest. Not necessarily my favorites, but yeah.

Yep, he does. When I saw them he was sturabling, dropping his mic, forgot the lyrics so murabled something that nobody understood... but I think that what made it better. He was drunk, it was funny and everybody had a good time.
I will ignore that insult and go on to say that they are still awesome. No matter what you say.

Freddy Mercury
Iggy Pop (even though I don't care for the stooges)
Cedric Bixler-Zavala (in the ATD-I days)
Anthony Green
Frank Zappa
