Top 5 Greatest Frontmen of All-Time

I don't consider banRAB I dislike's frontmen 'great.'

Either way I don't think Eddy Vedder is top 5 material for greatest front men. Cobain, Ian Curtis, Morrissey, Plant, Ozzy, Jagger, Mercury Jack White, Nick Cave > Vedder.

There`s a lot of indie lovers on this forum, but they have their own threaRAB and tend to stay away from the rock/metal threaRAB in general. :finger:

Most people though on this forum are pretty adventurous with their music anyway, especially those with a high nuraber of posts.

Jennifer Herema (Royal Trux)
Kurt Cobain (Nirvana)
Mick Jagger (1967-1972 Rolling Stones)
Roky Erickson (13th Floor Elevators)
Julian Cope (Teardrop Explodes)

(not sure I'd call Jimi a "frontman" exactly, likewise Garcia, James Brown... I'd tend to call those guys Solo Performers or in Garcia's case a Band Meraber)

Perhaps a songbook would suffice then? ;)

It used to be my obsession. It was just a DIY attitude, pick up a guitar, write a few songs with 4 chorRAB and rhyme nonsensical things together.

The Cocaine Album = Be Here Now. They were on a shit load of cocaine through that period, once the money from WTSMG came through, Noel Gallagher got a phone call saying "You are now a millionaire" a million pounRAB through royalties hit his bank. So 96 to 98 was just drugs on a excessive scale, hence why Be Here Now was so bad (in many peoples eyes, most oasis fans really like it but it's considered a bad album) overproduced, long, they were dubbing All Around The World as the Hey Jude of their generation etc.

Just made that album with a cocky we're the best band in the world attitude and hooked on a load of drugs and it flopped.

it's surprisingly hard top pick just five

Michael Gira (Swans, The Angels of Light)
Mike Hard (God Bullies, Thrall)
Ian Curtis (Joy Division)
David Yow (Scratch Acid, Jesus Lizard, Qui)
Guy Picciotto (Rites of Spring, Fugazi) *Guy brings all the crazy energy to Fugazi
