I haven't read nearly enough manga, but I'll give a rough shot at the series I've followed/am following:

1. One Piece - The big, bad pirate series that continues to grow more epic with each arc. If not my favorite manga that I continue to follow, definitely the best.
2. Ouran High School Host Club - The anime was awesome, yes, but the manga has so much more story that continues to develop. The quality has not dropped and the twists and turns feel natural for the series. Absolute

1. Monster- Normally I'd rank Death Note or Rurouni Kenshin as my favorite manga, but this series definitely deserves MUCH more love than it gets.

2. Dragonball- People can say what they want about its various anime adaptations, and in many cases, they are right about its flaws. However, I don't give a crap what anyone says about Dragonball when it comes to the manga. All I know is that to me, this is shounen manga at its peak, and I still have yet to see another battle-oriented shounen manga that's not Rurouni Kenshin or Yu Yu Hakusho top it for me.

3. Rurouni Kenshin- Normally this would be higher, but I moved it down to give the 2 other series above some extra points. That said, this is easily the best battle-oriented shounen manga that I have ever read, period. I know that many people would rather rank series like Naruto or One Piece higher, but this is my personal favorite when it comes to shounen, as I findi to be the most interesting that I have ever read. Also, it gets bonus points for actually having action scenes that are well-drawn out enough for me to actually follow, unlike 90% of all of the otehr battle-oriented shounen manga from WSJ.

4. Death Note- This would also normally be higher on my list, but anyways, the bottom line is that I have always been captivated by this series. I love its concept, story, characters, and its artwork. I even liked the second arc despite the fact that so many others hate it. Oh well, for me, its simply interesting from beginning to end, and that's why I love it.

5. Great Teacher Onizuka- While it does go somewhat downhill with its final arc, the rest of the series is pure fun, and it has some truly touching as well as inspiring moments. I really which that the anime could have finished animating the rest of this (but, then again, there's at least a dozen other manga that I would wish that for, as well ).

6. Battle Royale- Sure, its overly-gory and the artwork can be disturbing, but I feel that this manga is pretty underrated. Its not nearly as good as the novel which its based off of, but its still a great adaptation of it, nonetheless (IMO), and it always managed to keep me on the edge of my seat as I was reading it, despite the fact that I already knew most of what was going to happen since I had read the novel first (it still managed to surprise me and occasionally fake me out with some of its twists whenever it made changes to what had originally happened in the novel).

7. Hikaru no Go- Its a very standard shounen series in many ways, but its also a very addicting one. However, the fact that it makes such an interesting story out of such an ancient (literally) board-game is quite outstanding in and of itself. Also, furthermore, it actually got me into playing the game of Go, and while I definitely suck at it, I have to give this manga extra props for actaully getting me into a game that I would have payed no mind to and just passed off as a boring game which only super-geniuses could be able to play. I'm glad that I did get into it, because it really is a simple yet very complex and fun game that really forces you to heavily strategize.

8. Hunter X Hunter- This is Togashi's 2nd "major" manga series, and it really proves how talented and creative this guy is with his writing. He constantly comes up with unique/original, inventive, and unpredictable ideas, and while the story starts out slow, I have been loving almost every minute of it ever since the later-half of the Hunter Exams arc. Although, having said that, I ranked this manga a little bit lower than where I used to rank it, since after re-reading certain bits of it, I have noticed how it can slip in quality quite a bit from time to time, and that really does hurt its overall entertainment for me, a little bit. But, still, the full package is probably one of the best currently-running (well if you can call a series that constantly goes on 1 year + long hiatuses "currently running) shounen series out there.

9. History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi- Alright, I'll admit, this is a guilty pleasure of mine. It has a ton of shounen cliches, uses the same plot-points quite a lot, and it also has Ecchi (which I hate). However, I just cannot deny that I still find its better aspects to be really interesting, and overall, the story really addicted me. I want to point out now that I don't read that many manga, so its not like this manga had that much competition when I put it on my top 10 list, but I should also defend myself for putting it on my list and say that to its credit, it does quite a few things right. I really do enjoy its sense of humor, characters like Nijima and Siegfried are actually pretty unique and also funny, and I like how despite its insanely over-the-top nature (which is something that's obviously done on purpose, later on in the manga's story line), quite a lot of the corabat in this series is at least "based" off of real martial arts (its exaggerated like hell, of course, though ).

10. Gantz- Its not very consistent in quality, IMO, but when things get heated up, it can be a really awesome series. That's really all there is for me to say about a series like this. I will also say, though, that it deserves credit for actually going so far as to develop a really pathetic and unlikeable main character into a really honest, likeable, and fairly bad-ass protagonist. I can't think of any other series that has has character development good enough to turn around a character's personality that much.

Honorable Mentions:

Yu Yu Hakusho- I do love the manga, but its anime adaptation is even better, IMO, and since it already ranked so high on the top 25 anime list, I decided to leave it out of my list this time to make room for another series. It is still one of my favorite manga, though (normally it'd be tied with GTO for me).

Shounan Jun'ai Gumi!- I'd rank it pretty high on my list if I actually got to read more of it, but unfortunately I have only ever read the first 80 chapters of it.

Fullmetal Alchemist- This is a great manga, and its the version of FMA that I got into first (which is a big reason for why I prefer it over the 1st anime serie adaptation of it, personally), but overall it just barely got edged out of my list simply because I don't find it to be quite as entertaining as the other series that I listed (in that it can often become less interesting every now and then before picking up its pacing again with the story, IMO).

Hellsing- Its more of a guilty pleasure than anything else, though.

Black Lagoon- Once again, another seris that I still need to read more of, as far as the manga goes.

Bakuman- There still isn't enough of the series out for me to actually rank it as one of my favorites, as much as I love what I have read of it.

One Piece- I would have ranked it on my list, but I only started reading the manga after I finished watching the Thriller Bark arc in the anime, so I really haven't actually read that much of the manga (at least not enough to rank it as one of my favorites).

You're not alone. (I should really make a "Guy's only" shoujo thread Maybe one on Arina Tanemura)

I should really pick up I.O.N. one of these days. It's the only one of hers I haven't read.

My manga experience is by no means extensive, but....

1. One Piece
2. Rurouni Kenshin
3. Fruits Basket
4. Naruto
5. Tsubasa
6. xxxHolic
7. Gundam Wing: Blind Target
8. Cardcaptor Sakura
9. Dragon Ball
10. Gundam Wing: Episode Zero

Kenshin is my personal favorite. A marvelous, well-paced story, excellent characters, dynamic action. What isn't to love? Kenshin's quest isn't some generic quest to become the greatest. He seeks redemption and uses his strength to serve others. Nobuhiro Watsuki struck pure gold.

There isn't much I can say about One Piece that hasn't been said already. Eiichiro Oda is the most entertaining manga writer & artist out there right now, having clearly succeeded at building a world and narrative like no other. Rock on. I have to put One Piece first simply because he's the master at what he does.

Fruits Basket is a guilty pleasure. I liked the anime, it was one of the first I brought on DVD. The manga takes the story further and enRAB it all in a very satisfying way. It could be cute, it could be funny, it could be painfully dramatic. As the best selling shoujo manga I'm probably not supposed to like it, but screw that. I stayed for the characters.

Naruto's popularity is well deserved, and it's still one of the more interesting and intriguing stories out there in spite of--or perhaps, I think, because of--the twists and turns that have caught many fans by surprise. Yes, I really liked the twist with Itachi, and events since then have done much to persuade me that this truly is Naruto's comic and not Sasuke's. In spite of my attempts at speculation, as often as not the story still does things in a way that I wouldn't have guessed. It certainly keeps me interested in what will happen next. I just hope Kishimoto keeps at it and ultimately offers a satisfying ending for our hero.

I haven't really read much Dragon Ball, but its significance as a landmark series is undeniable and I've seen the series. So, I'm paying it some due. I like Gundam Wing Blind Target the best out of the Wing manga because it strikes me as the most realistic story to bridge the gap, and it does a good job of telling it without needing any actual Gundam action to speak of. It's a good read and, to me, a definite must for anyone who likes the show. I also like Episode Zero for its backstory. To be honest, the rest are mostly CLAMP manga at least in part because I haven't had a look at very much else, though I do think CCS is deserving since it's probably the best of its kind.

Bleach is all right, but just all right. It's oddly paced and it doesn't strike me as nearly as well thought out as titans like One Piece, Naruto or Rurouni Kenshin. I don't know what it is, but from what I've seen I'm not a fan of Yu Yu Hakusho's art style or narrative. The anime seems to improve on it rather substantially.

This is why I feel that Togashi neeRAB to learn to work with assistants. His artwork isn't near terrible, but its just too sloppy and rushed since he always does it on his own.

I never had a big problem with the series's narrative until the Three Kings arc, though. I personally find it to still be more entertaining and interesting than any of the currently running shounen series that I have been reading.

With the exception of some of the more interesting side-stories which were cut out in the anime, this statement is very true. It takes everything that was already good about Togashi's manga and expanRAB on it, while never really making its pacing feel dragged out.

1. Kimi Ni Todoke
2. Angel Densetsu
3. Kimi Wa Pet
4. Azumanga Daioh!
5. Monster
6. Kare Kano (His and Her Circumstances)
7. Bakuman
8. Negima!
9. GTO
10. Nyan Koi!

1) 20th Century Boys

One hell of an epic, so many twists and turns and things you'll never see coming. Friend gets points for being very believable as an antagonist and not just a copy-paste of Johan, which is what I was fearing going into this.

2) Monster

Urasawa's original mystery suspense story. This is all about the characters, and what a rich cast they are. This is the manga that made me second guess what I was reading.

3) Bakuman

Tops Death Note, IMO. The pacing is perfect, the plot's always moving, and the characters better written (No Misa!), and it's just a lot of fun to read.

4) Berserk

Unlike the anime, I'll be upset if this doesn't make the manga list. Action packed and intense, Berserk is a fantastic read. (Even if it frequently goes slow, it's worth the wait)

5) BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad

A manga about music. I couldn't vote it on my anime list, but the manga is even better as it goes more in depth into the world of music. There's also so many characters and story events to keep track of, I'm surprised it managed to last as long as it did.

6) Fruits Basket

Even better than the anime, despite "the twist" that makes no sense. This is the manga that got me to respect the genre more.

7) Rurouni Kenshin

Another like Berserk that I don't really mind not making the anime list, but should probably make the manga list. Since, you know, it doesn't stop being good 2/3 of the way through.

8) Yu Yu Hakusho

Not as high as the anime, since it's not quite as good, but still, this is the original story and it's still fantastic to read.

9) Full Metal Alchemist

Another thrilling tale, there's not much to say about FMA except that it's awesome. It was a real treat reading this after seeing the anime and noticing the differences, too.

10) Gantz

Intense reading. Though the first few arcs were okay, I didn't really care about the characters. Then the Chibi Aliens came and my opinion started to change. Though the Osaka arc took way too long to end, it's managed to remain exciting since the Chibi Alien arc.

Somehow that was easier than the anime one. I can't wait to see how everyone else votes.

Hm... well I haven't read a lot of these in entirety, but I'll try.

1. One Piece
2. Ouran High School Host Club
3. Trigun/Trigun Maximum
4. Fullmetal Alchemist
5. Monster
6. Death Note
7. Nodame Cantabile
8. Dragonball
9. Coming soon
10. Coming soon

I have never really tried to compile a top 10 manga list before...

This happens to be both incredibly easy and incredibly hard for me, but well...I'm not even going to try and pretend to be a regular or experienced manga reader, so my votes are based on an extremely limited selection and on several woefully incomplete readings.

For that same reason, I really won't be elaborating much if at all and almost everything is open to later modification.

1. Monster
2. Death Note
3. Berserk
4. Claymore
5. Rurouni Kenshin
6. Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken
7. Bokurano
8. Welcome to the NHK
9. Gantz
10. Hellsing
