I also MUST buy Big on DVD already. It's been too long since I've seen Josh Baskin.
 
I actually haven't seen The Da Vinci Code (which I know is odd considering I just came in here and said I love this guy :lol:, but I heard it wasn't that good so it kinda put me off), so I think I might have to watch that first before going to see the new one.

It's like he makes movies watchable just by him being there.
 
I watched That Thing You Do just a few months ago or so. I thought it was good. :nod:

Forrest Gump. Hands down. Just because no one can ever take his place as Forrest, he WAS Forrest. :nod:

He really makes acting - really remarkable acting - look so effortless. He's just that good. And even that's an understatement.

I watched Turner & Hooch again the other night...it still makes me cry.

Oh wow, good question. I know which characters are my faves and which performances, but as whether or not I have a favorite movie of his.........not really sure. Well, it's not one of his Academy-Award worthy ones, but I think, That Thing You Do! And not just because he wrote and directed it, but it's just such a feel-good movie, one I can watch over and over again without ever getting bored or anything. But I also really love The Green Mile and Big.

What about you?
 
I also love his performance in The Green Mile. I think he was robbed for that role. He blew me away in that.

Tom is an amazing actor. His acting skills are over the top. Definitely one of my favourite male actors.

I feel like rewatching You've Got Mail now. His chemistry with Meg Ryan (another favourite of mine) is so great.
 
You've Got Mail is my I want to marry Tom Hanks movie. :lol: So perfect and wonderfully romantic and funny. Not all RomComs are actually romantic and/or funny, but You've Got Mail is both. Hee.
