To people of all races: do you believe there is such a thing as "whith culture?"

Absolutely. I actually took a class based on this premise in college. If we are talking about this in the context of the US, white culture is essentially what results from and helps to continue the racial hierarchy in this nation. It is often in our unconscious, that is white people are often unaware of the things we say or do that help to maintain our status in society.

Minorities in this country know all too well how many priveleges white people have simply based on the color of their skin. White people don't have to worry about finding a band aid that matches their skin, or about finding a hairstylist that will know how to work with their hair, for example. We take things things for granted. It is easier for someone to get an interview for a job or get accepted in to college if they have what is considered a "white" name like Tiffany or Joe, rather than Shaneequa ro something. Peopel will (consciously or unconsciously) make assumptions about where that person is from, what they are like, etc based on that name.

White culture is also about the things we say and do. For example, when describing a man we spoke to on the train we might preface it by saying "this black man", but if it was a white man we would simply say "this man". Why is there a need to describe the race at all?

I could go on for days about all this, but it's 1:00 in the morning and I am tired. Simply put, yes there is a white culture.

First off: spellcheck is your friend.

Second:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_American_Culture

Always wiki first. Some people don't like wikipedia, but almost all of the articles, at least the good ones, have sources at the bottom which usually leads to different articles on the subject.

Also, google is your friend, too.

I don't belive there is a single white culture but many white cultures that are being systematically destroyed by immigrants and liberalism.

Yes. As soon as you become old enough you learn about it. You also get discriminated with job applications because of a name. It's nothing new. They will of course have one minority in the job or school to prove they are diverse but it isn't the one with the complicated name.

Dying to see these answers.

Glenn Beck used the term a while ago, then was interviewed by Couric an couldn't say what it was.

I have my own ideas. I'll get to on down the line.

what is it?
"Tr1n3" that's my question.

And yeah sorry to all for saying "whith" instead of "white."
"Kendra" i must streneously disagree that it is easier for white people to get into college because of their name! if anything it's harder! the reason for that is that college want to have a more diverse student body and sometimes make it easier for people of minorities to get in, simply because they are minorities.
