Ok, I get it now. Basically that theres a lot of hype over something and they are acting very hurable. But when it's time for a concert they go over the top? Is that it?

Nick Cave
Some of the songs on Nocturama are overlong, and maybe even a bit rushed.

Steely Dan
Gaucho is a lame album. Except Third World Man, that's an awesome song. Katy Lied isn't very spectacular either.

David Bowie
I actually think Reality was a pretty mediocre album. Two or three great songs, the rest of it very forgettable. I just hope it isn't the last album he'll ever release

Faith No More

To Mike:
The early years were great, man. You have extraordinary vocal talent and you made some awesome music in the middle stages of FNM's development. But goddammit, you're a shithead. Big Jim was the largest creative force in the band and you kicked him out because...he wanted to make music-oriented music? And boy, Album of the Year fucking BLEW. There were no redeeming qualities. Perhaps you should have called it "Mike Patton Plays Soft Alternative Dross, Accompanied by Four Other Musicians." No one could have misinterpreted that.

I have no idea what post you're referring to. I'm referring only to the post I responded to. Since this thread was supposed to be about "taking shots at your favourite band" and you listed three banRAB, I assumed that they were (roughly) your three favourites.

Also, it was simply curiosity, not criticism.

Someone found the future as a statue in a fountain
At attention, looking backward in a pool of water
Wishes with a blue songbird on his shoulder
Who keeps singing over everything
Everything means nothing to me
Everything means nothing to me
Everything means nothing to me
I picked up the song and found my picture in the paper
The reflection in the water showed an iron man still trying to salute
People from a time when he was everything he's supposed to be
Everything means nothing to me
Everything means nothing to me
Everything means nothing to me
Everything means nothing to me

No, I went for Wish You Were Here becuase it's a relatively popular Pink Floyd release, but it's not The Wall or Dark Side Of The Moon. Also, it looked pretty digestible.
