TNA Wrestling on Bravo (Part 3)

Anyone think RVD was the intended heel turn until the problems involving his contract made TNA change direction? It seemed to be going that way, with Angle going through the top 10 on route to RVD at BFG.

Either way,Jeff Hardy seems to be loving his new heelish direction. No wonder really - he's played the dare devil, underdog babyface for 11 years.

yeh god forbid it gets interesting every week lol

they have had false dawns like this before however, you get a 100% russo show and everyones excited and then next week we have a x division title match lower the creative aspect of the show, heres hoping once and for all russo tv is back and easy e is looking to put on exciting tv every week like he wa smotivated to do back in wcw 96-98

If you go with the stories floating around at that time, It would appear that it was a creative decision. Not a talent decision.

Hogan talks rubbish. He did say this as he's was lying drugged up in a hospital bed. Considering the information about concussions from head knocks thats been discovered in recent years, they're no reason to take unprotected chairshots to the head.

TNA doing a more realistic style doesn't have to mean guys beating the hell out of each other in some sort of pseudo japanese strong style. A more snug style with realistic storylines and characters would be a good way to standout against WWE's style of programming.

Yes, but once it's all said and done, the Living TV Group will only consist of Challenge and Living TV. Channel One is going. Bravo is going.

It'll be bought out and they'll have to find somewhere else with immediate effect.

On freeview, it would be pretty good, but Sky3, and Sky2 are seen as just inferior versions of Sky1, whereas Bravo was arguably the second most successful channel under the VMTV banner.

When a programme doubles, trebles or quadruples its ratings on the previous year, that's pretty outstanding.

Bravo has a very strong line-up of male-orientated programming, like Alex Reid's programmes, etc etc. The fact TNA doesn't make the top 10 frequently is irrelevant.

We already know that SmackDown does much better over here on its premier than RAW, but RAW has only just started to see an improvement in its viewing figures. You're talking like RAW has been top every week this year, and that is by far not the case.

Sky don't have to honour the contract? Well isn't that... erm.. illegal? What's the point of a contract, then? (Although, to be fair, Sky are known for not honouring various contracts and manipulating situations to benefit themselves. They always have. They always will.)

I think that's just putting a highlights show they've already prepared for dvd on ppv; WWE used to do this- they may still- put the documentaries from their dvRAB on pay per view.

I doubt it costing TNA much.

I wish RAB had a post of the year award

It's like a Ric Flair promo! Did you throw your suit jacket on the floor and start performing elbow drops on it halfway through typing? ;)

And Dixie's big announcement is on Impact. Apparantly this will change the way we view watch TNA and it starts at BFG. Eric also said they are sticking to long term storylines and the THEY storyline will continue after BFG. It won't just end after the big reveal on Sunday. I haven't been this excited about wrestling in a long time and it's a shame we don't get BFG live because i really do want to stay up and watch it live.

Perhaps they should have made it realistic and had Abyss arrested and sentenced to 10 years in jail for attempted murder. Cue outrage at the fact TNA cant carry on with the "they" storyline because they tried to be realistic.

Im not having a go at you JCR but some things arent going to make sense because if everything did it would be boring.

The Jonas Brothers with their strong religious values ordering Abyss to attack people with Janice = biggest swerve ever.

UFC is a sport, an athletic competition. Yes it's violent but I don't believe the point of it is for people to hurt other people. MMA is a legit sport and it's about finding out who's the best. There are far more serious injuries from boxing than MMA.

If Jericho turns up in TNA then it just goes to show Vince McMahon's WWE and Vince McMahon's wallet mean nothing anymore. Jericho would be a huge surprise for people to see and great to see that more and more people aren't relying on WWE's paycheques to get by. In the 90's, wrestlers went where the money was. Nowadays they just want to do their job and WWE restricts people like Chris Jericho from doing what they do best.

Well this show had about three times as much wrestling as last week, but that wasn't too hard to do:rolleyes:. Most of it was pretty lame to be honest, but at least the show is moving forward now, establishing the factions and rivalries.I don't know where the Pope/Samoa Joe angle is headed, whether they will join up with EV2,or if there will be yet another new faction, probably involving Nash and Sting. It looks like Robbie E.will be shaking up the X Division, which would be okay by me.I just want to see more X Division matches in general,as they were the ones which really got me hooked on TNA.

Overall, there is some potential for some good shows in the months ahead. It would be great to see Taz,or even Tenay, slap Bischoff or Jarrett, etc! :D

A lot of people complained about that but if TNA had done that those same people would have just moaned and said it took away from the Knockouts match and again TNA are trying to fit too many things into one show. Seeing Mickie James the way we did was fine and it happened before a commercial break so it would have kept people tuned into the next segment which ended up being the second most watched of the night.

Not entirely true - he retired due to injury and wanted to open his own wrestling school. I'm pretty sure if he was willing he'd still be in WWE, even if it was more as a trainer now.

As for 30 minute matches - iron mans and long matches at PPV's do well, and when there are lenthy, good matches on free TV (ie Cena/HBK's 50 minute epic last year) the ratings go up a tad. Have you ever timed PPV main events? they're up there around 25 minutes most of the time...

Easy E had a billionaires money behind him, He made tv intresting by stealing the top guys from wwf/e, Used his power to get the turner to agree to start nitro 3 minutes earlier than raw to give away raws results.

Russo booked wcw well, who can forget david arquette as world champion or double J as world champion.

Are you really excited about hogan and flair doing the immortals gimmick, whos dixie going to get to defend tna???????? Orlando Jordan
