TNA Wrestling on Bravo (Part 3)

Doesn't matter, Sky wouldn't want 2 wrestling branRAB. Wrestling is seen as very low brow and attracts lower money for aRAB than golf, tennis etc. etc. It tenRAB to only get shown if there's nothing else that can go in the timeslot that'd get higher ratings. Even if they don't have an exclusivity deal with WWE, I'd find it highly unlikely they'd take more rasslin'.

Buyrates are nothing. PPV=wrestling. PPV wrestling doesn't work in 2010 and it hasn't worked for years now. People don't want to pay for it because they don't want to sit bored for 3 hours watching non stop wrestling.

You'll always be there ghost world because you've nothing else to watch apart from WWE. You'll never be able to fully tune out. If you don't like, don't watch but you can't do it. Deep inside yourself you know you can't do it. And that's a good thing! Cause there's millions worldwide just like you and they keep things ticking along nice and slowly. Keeping the pro wrestling industry alive. :D

I read on pro wrestling.com that the crowd at BFG was 3,500 and that there were a lot of spare seats around the arena. I'm quite suprised by this news as I thought it would have been a bit higher with the quality of the card.

wildmovieguy you've said before that you want to be entertained when watching, and that you don't want to see boring 25 minute matches. Well what do you really think will happen if TNA suddenly made its matches more realistic or even dafter, legit sporting contests? It would be really long boring matches full of rest holRAB or a series of time limit draws!

The reason wrestling became a work was because legit pro-wrestling matches were so boring!

I just think Sky wouldn't put it on the sports channels because they probably don't want another entertainment show on there.

I think they would fall somewhat, but not too much.

Wild, you talk some random rubbish at times. TNA were trying to recreate the nwo angle from 1996. One of the most famous parts of the debut of that angle was rubbish getting chunked at the ring. Bischoff and Hogan have always said in interviews that they loved the rubbish getting chunked at the ring as it helped put over the angle. Considering how rare rubbish getting chunked at the ring happens, I don't think this angle was suddenly enough too make people start chunking stuff.

The show was another some good some bad show. The opener was really good and the main event was good excluding the main angle. I don't think this will do anything to help turn around business. TNA better hope Hardy doesn't get jailed next month.

As for WWE and PG entertainment, it is still very profitable for them (for now). TNA and it's TV14 rating isn't exactly making TNA millions.

No idea. It does seem weird that a German language link was made available in the US???

According to Meltzer, the several people he has spoken to within the company reckon Nash ain't going anywhere and that he's just trying to get a good deal on a new contract. Considering Nash's previous contract situations, it would fit in with that minRABet.

Just watched the interview with Dixie on TNA Today. She says that it will not be a surprise that is revealed on the live Impact but just a change. I can't wait to see what it is and then 3 days later find out who 'they' are.

Absolutely - the Impact Zone, while good for a while, has definitely out stayed it's welcome. It's looks and feels way more professional in a proper arena.

Very entertaining opener too.

Dejavoodoo
until i see a fan that admits they were paid to throw stuff in the ring i will refuse to believe it.
And apparantly the charges against Jeff are not as bad as everyone thinks. He will be fine.

They did say that this was the end of the Fourtune/EV2.0 feud and there are rumours going round that the short term deals the EV2.0 guys had are up. I don't think anyone really wants to boo Fourtune anyway so maybe we could start seeing them become fan favourites.

Who cares who buys the PPVs or not. I'm only a fan, i only need to worry about enjoying myself and right now i am enjoying TNA. Let TNA worry about making profits or worrying about PPV buyrates even though PPV wrestling is dead in 2010 anyway. It will never go back to how it was because everyone knows it isn't real. The WWF and WCW made a damn good job of letting people know that 10 years ago. I'm just gonna enjoy professional wrestling for what it is for however long it lasts.

You're slightly off with your figures there Mark; those are domestic figures.Fatal 4 Way and Money in the Bank pulled around 82,000 and 95,000 buys respectively.

Wild, they may not do 20,000 sell out shows every night - but that was rare during the late 90's boom. They are holding way more live events now than they did back then and still doing sell out shows in the big cities every month.

Either way,the McMahon family are heading towarRAB another net profit of 50 million dollars - that's way more than I'll make this year!
