TMN Online now available to Bell TV subs

I doubt many people will use this service so I'm sure Rogers and the other Cablecos are not overly worried.
 
I cannot watch the streaming shows offered on Bell TV Online.
I need a PC whiz to help since Bell doesn’t seem to know how to solve this problem, sending me on all types of wild goose chases. I’ve already contacted them 5 times.

I’ve downloaded Silverlight, have re-booted my PC at least 5 times, checked my PC’s speed (ok), cleaned out my PC cache & history but nothing seems to work.

Signing into Bell On line and clicking on any of their offerings produces the following messages:

Sorry! We couldn't find that page on Bell. You have asked for a page that does not exist on our site. You may have typed the URL incorrectly, or the page or file you are looking for may have been moved or retired.

OR

A black screen with the message:

THIS VIDEO IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE. Please select another video to watch. We apologize for the inconvenience. 404

The other complication is that it worked on my laptop ONCE but it doesn’t anymore. (I don’t know what I did to my laptop for it to work that one time). But have had no luck on my desk top.

I have wireless internet with a modem & router. My desktop works on MS XP and my laptop on VISTA.

Does anyone have ANY ideas whatsoever?

Anyone connected with Bell have any idea if/when this might be available to us poor chumps stuck with our Western Canadian monopoly choice, Movie Central?
 
This really is version 1 of this service and I doubt it will remain the way it is right now. Was Rogers' VOD as good (?) as it is now when it was in its first week of operation?

I don't have TMN so I can't check, but can anyone confirm if this runs over Flash or something else like Windows Media or QuickTime?

The PS3's browser supports Flash so I suspect this would work over its built-in browser. Windows Media would ensure this also works on Windows Media Centre boxes or XBox 360 but I have neither so I can't comment. This would be a way to watch Bell's VOD on a TV.
 
In essence not much. No one really knew how to approach the problem, offering me suggestions on my firewall, my internet provider, my router etc.

However, I am receiving the 1 minute streaming previews from bell just fine so I find it odd.
Then today, one agent mentioned that they may be having problems at their end. Funny, how the other 5 agents did not have this info when I was interacting with them. The service is still not available for me and wonder if others are experiencing the same problem.

I am a new subscriber to Bell (one month) and am overall very happy with them.
A huge, huge improvement over what I used to get from Videotron. I was just checking out Bell TV On Line to see that I was getting it. Nope. But, I'll give them a few days before complaining again.
 
Sarpedon, I checked TMN Online and watched about 10 minutes of Watchmen, no issues.

When I switched over from the theme pack platform to A LA CARTE (Quebec) back in February, it took over a month for BellTV to get my access to TMN Online going...
 
Thanks good to know this.....maybe that is the problem ...getting me started.

Just one question - did you have to call many times or did it just come on with no calls from you ?
 
I used this service recently to catch up on True Blood episodes. The service was stable, picture and audio quality was good. No complaints. Obviously I'd prefer on-demand services available through my TV...but this did the trick.
