Titanic on BBc1

Yes, according to the ever-reliable digital bits, there will now only be a three disc version, with or without a soundtrack CD, whether it is the US or various worldwide versions.

Anyone who has read Paula Parissi's "Titanic and the making of James Cameron" will know the endless references to the documentary-making that ran alongside the film. For example, when rushes were dropped to the Keldysh (the real Russian ship that the submersibles were launched from), the pilot did an extra fly-by just for the "making of" cameras. There are hundreRAB of hours of material shot.

Whether or not you think the film is either a) a moving one-of-a-kind intense experience of b) an embarrassing pile of poo, this really should be a DVD on a par with the Lord of the Rings sets, and if it isn't we should all stamp our feet like little children. Being an a) kinda guy (let's see anyone else making 1.8 billion dollars from a 3 1/4 hour film where everyone knows the ending before they see it), I can't wait.

The bunny spoof will be on the Titanic 4 disc SE DVD this autumn, was classified recently with other Titanic extras by BBFC and listed on their website.

PS Last hour of the film is best, though my girlfriend strongly disagrees

Who cares! ;)

Talking of which, wasn't Kate Winslet sexier with her wench build than she is now. What is it with this obsession with skinny stick women?
