I agree with you. It's not worth all the trouble to spend $500+ on a phone that you're not even 100% sure will work how you want it to.
It is kind of depressing that they have yet to make a decent CDMA competitor to the iPhone, but then again I suppose it's all about your taste, as some people would claim that the Touch Pro is that competitor.
I want a basic phone too, one with a good camera, slim, and that has memory for all my pictures and videos. I love my mogul though, don't get me wrong. It has EVERYTHING I want in a phone, but a lot of that I don't need. But it's kind of like crack, as soon as I try to let it go I start feigning and feigning for it until I get it again lol.
