Throwing-In the Towel

I'm sick of waiting for the HTC Raphael/Touch Pro. I think I'm just going to get a Chocolate 3 and call it a day. It's a very smart design for a basic music player phone.

Day 1 when the Touch Pro goes on sale, you know we're going to have to patch the hell out of it just to do basic, normal stuff. Well part of me wants to go back to a basic phone--one that makes calls, plays music, takes pictures, and that's about it.

I'll keep my Touch as a backup phone.

I may someday plunge and get a Touch Pro, but for now, I'll just hold out.

I mean, seriously--the iPhone is out there with nothing really to compete with it. And here Sprint and Verizon are busy trying to pimp all these half-***** knockoff devices. Sheesh. Give me a break!

i know this is off topic, but coulnt help since there's a little discussing here about LG phones, have you noticed that alot Forums containing LG files have been removed, kinda sucks

Not to question your reading comprehension level, but I never said I was quitting anything except being used as a consumer puppet.

I will lend you the benefit of doubt that you were being sarcastic, however. ;)

:O me sarcastic? hmm hmm hmm. nevva =D

and u said u were throwing in the towl, sounRAB like a quitter to me ;)

edit: well fine u win, ur giving up, wats the difference, no patience :( =D

you have to also remeraber that we don't get to use all of the features of any cdma phone...
we flash them to get talk, text , wap and sometime mms...(and sometime GPS)
last month i had cricket and a touch but i switched over to the simply evrything plan and seriously couldnt be happier...
I can do everything i could want on my phone without any limitation of the annoying cricket proxy.
These phone have the capabilities of doing anything...its just that because we are limited in what we can do because of cricket services and the other things they offer...
These phones are designed to be used with their native carriers...and i seriously believe that the touch diamond and the touch pro will be better than the iphone 3g...

I am currently using EVDO REV.A and i seriously get 1400Kbps inside my house where i only have 2 bars...

Dont get me wrong...im not bashing on cricket..
i love their service...i love the fact that they offer unlimited talk, text, wap, mms. but thats all they offer...
Until recently they released Evdo(i know the 1050 prl has been out for a while but i mean official release)..(and anyway its still Rev.0)
Our phones were not designed to be used on Cricket therefore you shouldnt expect for the phone to work as it did with its native carrier...

well....thats my 2 cents

Hacking the phone for Cricket isn't my beef, however.

It's waiting for the thing to hit the market that's the real insult. It's disgusting how long it takes for them to bring a true piece of technology to market versus these endless knockoff gimmicks. I'm tired of waiting. I have no patience. That's why I'm strongly considering a more basic phone to get the lust for the Raphael/Touch Pro out of my system for a while.

I agree with you. It's not worth all the trouble to spend $500+ on a phone that you're not even 100% sure will work how you want it to.

It is kind of depressing that they have yet to make a decent CDMA competitor to the iPhone, but then again I suppose it's all about your taste, as some people would claim that the Touch Pro is that competitor.

I want a basic phone too, one with a good camera, slim, and that has memory for all my pictures and videos. I love my mogul though, don't get me wrong. It has EVERYTHING I want in a phone, but a lot of that I don't need. But it's kind of like crack, as soon as I try to let it go I start feigning and feigning for it until I get it again lol.

Yeah...thats right...the touch has been out like for 3 months overseas and we still havent gotten it...sigh

I want one...but w/e
i have my touch and my blackberry curve so i can live without it... :D
