Thoughts on Steve Nash's accomplishments in 6 seasons with phoenix?

The era of Steve Nash- 2004- present

In the summer following the 03-04 season, the phoenix suns were criticized for paying a lot of money for an old point guard ( Nash was 30 back then).... That old point guard has revolutionized the way the point guard position was played. In those 6 seasons Nash has....

-Lead the phoenix suns to the post season 5 out of 6 years
-05-06 season, Amare injured all season, Nash still lead them to 56 wins with no other star...
-Made players have their career years, barbosa 6th man O.T.Y
-5 out of those 6 seasons he shot 50, 40, 90 % in the reg season ( No player did it more than twice)
-Won back to back MVPs, nearly a 3 peat =(
-Lead the suns to 3 western conference finals
-Beat the San Antonio spurs for the first time in the Steve Nash era
-4 assist titles
-2 time skills competition champion
-In ALL 6 years he was a top 10 candidate in the race to the MVP........

2004-05- 1st
2005-06- 1st
2006-07- 2nd
2007-08- 9th
2008-09- 10th
2009-10- 5th.

Nash is not done my friends, he may be nearing his late 30s but his conditioning is out of this world. He said he plans to play into his 40s. I wish all the best of luck next season, Hopefully Suns 2011 champs!!

Agreed! Best point guard ever.
If ron artest hadnt somehow made that shot in game 5, we'd have the suns vs, boston right now! BUT-next year we will come back even stronger and more experienced. Although now no one will underestimate them. I hope they keep frye, dudley, barbosa. And stoudamire sucked in game 6 for sure. He is very good but if they let him go and bring in bosh or DIRK that would be amazing. But they legitly do have a good chance next year, grant hill is consistent and vastly experienced, j-rich is flat out a good player and a 3 point sniper, robin lopez is getting really good, and steve nash is the best so MVP 2011
