This is why people hate big business v.salt wars

I went to my kitchen and checked the items on your list.

The grain, jelly, tuna, chickens in my kitchen don't have added salt (and none have transfat) and I didn't shop looking to avoid either so it's not like the products I bought are special. The peanut butter has added salt, but very little.

What was your point?

No, it would be like the alcohol industry being pissed off if the government was forcing them to forced them to lower the alcohol content of all their beverages.

Why are people worried about salt anyhow?

Cigarettes kill 450,000 people a year.

Being fat kills 375,000 people a year.

Alcohol kills 85,000 people a year.

Let people make their own decisions. If they are happy with the risks, then fine. It's not hurting me.

Are you saying that you can't find any of those things without transfat?

Please don't answer my question with a question this time. While your at it, go back and answer my other question too.

Which our government already does via IRS tax laws.

Not to mention Utah and their shenanigans.

You realize that trans fats are found naturally in just about all meat products, right? And why should the government ban it when consumers can simply chose not to consume it?

It should also be noted that the number of smokers has reduced since the ban and high taxes. There was a European study that showed high blood pressure and other health risks have lowered since their smoking bans.

Try not to use logic against seventh circle, I don't think his mind is compatible with such things.
