Pleasehelpme,
Welcome to the boards!
I have seen posts, similar to yours, coming from the UK...if you don't mind my asking, is that where you're from?
If you and your doctors have ruled out everything you can think of, you might consider the possibility of lyme disease and co-infections...this disease spreads via the blood stream and can affect multiple body systems like the stomach, intestines, bladder, bones, muscles, nerves, senses, etc.
People can have lyme for years and years (some people are thought to be born with it)before it rears it's ugly head...stress like exams or an accident or a death in the family can cause major outbreaks.
You have several symptoms that many people with lyme experience...the funny tastes, gastrointestinal problems, weight loss (altho some gain weight), cartilige/bone abnormalities (the bacteria of lyme can eat bone, cartilige, and muscle).
Special lyme literate medical doctors (LLMDs) are needed to diagnose and to treat lyme....we currently lack accurate tests to detect the disease so these specialists often diagnose base on a combo of symptoms.
There may be a LLMD in Wales, if I'm not mistaken. Lyme can kill so if you and your doctors have ruled every they can possibly rule out it may be wise to consult with a specialist asap.
Good look!
