This Is It

A friend of mine was at a staff screening at the cinema he works a few hours ago and said its an amazing film.

He said the concerts would have been unbelievable.

Only found one other review on Twitter - saying the same thing.

Can't wait to see it.

My sister and me has tickets to see him in January :(

She lives in Slovakia these days, and saw the film at 4am I think and texted me raving about it. She says its amazing.
I cant see it till thursday cos im going to the footy tonight, but im very excited.

i wasnt a massive fan but i would be interested to see the film even though he looks pretty ghastly in some of the footage i have seen, i think i may also shed a tear too

Lots of fans are not planning to see the film diliberately, because they think that the family knew how ill MJ was and did nothing about it. I can't work out if this is sad (as in pathetic) or not.

Saw it yesterday and it was absolutely brilliant.

I was almost dreading going to see it as I thought I would be a blubbering wreck, but I was surprised to find I wasn't. (well not unless you count "Man In The Mirror"). lol

Anyway, the whole thing is quite uplifting to see him performing and looking similar to around the time of "Dangerous". To be honest with you it felt like he was still here with us. It's very bittersweet.

I have no idea where the media got the information about Michael being frail and unable to perform because from where I was sitting it looked like he was having a blast - He looked like he was thoroughly enjoying himself. His dancing alone knocked me for six....then of course his voice was better than I expected too - (Damn newspapers)

His show looked like it was going to be a truly remarkable experience that was going to be out of this world.
We really have lost a genius with a truly unique talent that we will never EVER see from anyone else again.

He was a legend.

Thats what i thought, it was basically just clips with him rehearsing. With a better director id say it could have been alot better, as the actual footage was really amazing. But yeah i think the first part with the people crying was maybe a little bit staged, Deffo worth seeing though for the footage of him, and the thriller sequence.

I s'pose i'll be the one to say it .....

What a desperate money making exercise this film is. Limited time cinema release , then put it out on DVD in time for Christmas.

Saw it in the early hours of the morning. I really wasn't expecting to cry but I couldn't control myself when the end credits went up. This is the side of Michael that a lot of the fans got to see and that we all always knew existed. Maybe the rest of the public will see it now.

For those who have seen it, is it a "fly on the wall" documentary? Is Jackson interviewed at all, is there narration or does it show how he works with musicians, dancers etc and generally put the show together?

Saw this yesterday - thought it was good and nice to see a side of MJ that was not portrayed in the press. IMO though, there is no way he would've lasted 50 concerts. I was out of breath just watching some of the dancing!

He came across as a perfectionist, wanting to get everything right and would not stop until it was perfect and how he wanted it. Fantastic dancer and singer and his age didn't slow him down. Amazing man.

Saw it today and quite enjoyed it. The Smooth Criminal sequence was brilliant. If that had been the movie, I would have still seen it! Its made me a fan of MJ, he is so gooood, perfectionist and wanted everything to be perfect!

RIP MJ

Everyone realises that but film releases have always been timed and managed to make maximum profits so in that sense this is no different.

Despicable as they are, AEG are in business to make money and they have losses to recoup - they're not a charity!
