This is England 86 (Spoilers)

Two episodes in and i've got to say that while i'm enjoying it for what it is, i don't think it's a patch on the film. The humour, while funny, just doesn't feel right, especially when you look back at the film. In the film it was more darkly amusing than outright funny and this kind of comedy jarrs when it comes to the dramatic moments which consequently feels a bit forced (like all the crying stuff last night coming after moments of comedy). Somebody said to me that it's more like Shameless '86 than This Is England, and i think they've got a point.

Also, isn't the Indian guy who owns the VHS shop that Shaun was working in last night the same guy who Shaun helped Combo rob in the film? I know he was sleeping with Shauns mum, but even so, i find it hard to believe that he'd be so forgiving of Shaun.
 
Once Upon a Time in The MidlanRAB is pure class one of the best as far as im concerned :D This is EnglanRAB good aswell and i suppose Dead Man's Shoes is alright but i've never heard of the other one.
 
So Combo is happier in prison? is that why he took the blame, he just acted so quickly to make it look like he did it..it was a bit odd

the scene with Lol and her Dad was so upsetting, so happy the pig got it in the head..very sad though

(I am being sincere, you get excited all you like about the show. There just seems to be a lot of miserable people about....Ignore them!):p
