This album > that album.

Now that is one daunting discography I have been too nervous to tackle. I have a couple albums and a greatest hits along with all his Buffalo Springfield and CSNY stuff, but he just has so many albums that every time I feel like grabbing more I get overwhelmed and give up. I think I will try to start trudging through everything soon, though.

I thought this would be a good idea, a lot of us have favourite artists. A lot of our favourite artists have a lengthy discography and we all have our favourites. If you want to put David Bowie's whatever albums in order, then great. If you simply want to come and put Joy Division's two albums in order then great.

This works by stating the name of the artist. (Maybe in bold)

Then undearneath their best album > Followed by their second best > and so on > and so fourth.

So...

The Smiths

The Queen Is Dead > S/T > Meat Is Murder > Strangeways Here We Come.

Alchemy Index LAST? I'm haven't listened to them enough to do their entire discography, but I would definitely put AI and Vheissu towarRAB the front. I guess it just depenRAB on if you like the "new Thrice" or the "old Thrice".

"Digging My Own Grave" is such a beautiful song :'-(

My selection is based on either albums I own by said banRAB or ones I've heard right through via other sources.
Bear in mind I've not necersarily heard all albums by all the artists.
So for that reason I'll reserve my judgement for future times.
Saying all that... Like you actually give a ****.
Nonsense, but fun.

Well, if you're gonna do it like that then I'll just have to do it myself.

Dinosaur Jr.:

You're Living All Over Me > Bug > Farm > Green Mind > Beyond > Dinosaur > Hand It Over > Where You Been > Without a Sound

I'd agree with the vocal aspect improving, but dam 43% Burnt dam. Plus Calculating had a lot of really great interludes that stopped it from being just another '40 minutes of tempo changes'. That, and I really liked their old drummer.

Not that I dislike Ire Works though. I think those additions to their sound were necessary to expand their horizons. Plus, they do write a nice pop tune when they want (ie.Black Bubblegum).

Megadeth

Peace Sells... But Who's Buying? (1986) > Countdown To Extinction (1992) > Rust In Peace (1990) > Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good! (1985) > End Game (2009) > So Far, So Good... So What? (1988) > United Abominations (2006) > Youthanasia (1994) > Risk (1999)

Ok. This one was hard and I'm pretty sure I missed one or two. For what I did get, though, I think It's in the right order. I'll figure out the ones I missed tomorrow or if someone knows, they can tell me.

Death

Syrabolic (1995) > Human (1991) > Individual Thought Patterns (1993) > Scream Bloody Gore (1987) > The Sound Of Perseverance (1998) > Leprosy (1988) > Spiritual Healing (1990)

A great band that is credited with pioneering a genre of music by a similar name (techno). It was really hard for me to decide between Syrabolic and Human, but in the end, Syrabolic is an overall better album.

Seventh Son > Iron Maiden > Powerslave > Brave New World > Killers > Piece of Mind > Nuraber of the Beast > Somewhere In Time > Dance of Death > Fear of the Dark > A Matter of Life and Death > No Prayer For the Dying.

Vol4 > Sabotage > Sabbath Bloody Sabbath > Master of Reality > Dehumanizer > Heaven and Hell > Mob Rules > Black Sabbath > Paranoid > Technical Ecstasy > Never Say Die > Born Again > The Eternal Idol.

The Unraveling > Siren Song > Revolutions Per Minute> Sufferer and the Witness > Appeal to Reason

The Unraveling and Siren Song are tied...I like them both equally.

I love that weird ass vibrato thing - it goes really well with that old pre-ethereal, 4AD goth sound the band had. I think 'Blood Bitch' may be my favorite of all CT songs. I don't know all of their albums but the ones I do - I know really well. So my abbreviated list goes like:

Victorialand > Blue Bell Knoll > GarlanRAB > Treasure > Heaven or Las Vegas

I don't remeraber liking the stuff that came after Heaven much at all - they had become way too snooze-worthy for me by then. I would probably rate Head Over Heels fairly high but I can't really remeraber it right now.
