Just cut the bullshit waste and we can shave a shitload off of that. We don't have to actually reduce our strength to tdo that although we could stand to do that as well.
 
You could cut the defense budget in half and lose no capabilities or strength and all it would take is better oversight of how the money is spent. We throw around millions of dollars like it is play money. They are complaining at work because the CIO office wants to start approving purchases over $150k. My bosses claim that the money has already been budgeted for us so it shouldn't matter what it is spent on. Thinking like that is what causes us to have to spend $800 billion a year.
 
The Iraq invasion wasnt about WMD it was about the euro based oil exchange saddam was planning.

The defense budget is, of course, also most of our ongoing, 'of COURSE not socialist' corporate welfare program.
 
They said that they wanted to cut 40000 troops out of the military but yet I see nothing being done about it from a soldiers perspective.
And the ones they want to cut are broke dicks and trouble cases but discharges that are other than honorable take forever to go through. My solution would be to go around and ask solders "Hey you want to get out of the military early with a honorable discharge and keep your bennys blah blah blah." I am sure a fuck ton of troops would jump on that shit. I know I fucking would in a heartbeat.
 
I remeraber when I was in the Canadian military, even there people thought like that. We have to use up all our fuel, food, and ammo we got for this exercise of we'll get less the next time. We'd throw huge parties at the end and still have shitloaRAB of stuff to throw in the garbage. Such fucking waste, I can't even imagine what happens here where the military gets a lot of money.
