I deleted that bit at the top to save space as I think we might be taking a little too much space up in this thread. :o

Thanks for explaining all that. I accept that the sequels weren't exactly great story-wise (Let's not go near Star Wars on that point :D) and I will always disagree with you on your final point about Gigli. My reason being that if you go into a cinema expecting to see a great film and you personally feel let down then I couldn't compare that feeling to one where a film is better than originally thought. The CG side of things were good for me. Just one of those things I guess.

As for this quote:

but i am an matrix die hard fan so guess to all the matrix bashers it seems like a 70's movie! with cheesy effects

and god u prefer gigli over matrix ?? u r seriously screwed

Please tell me this was an attempt at humour! I never said this. I deplore the use of 'txt spk' on forums. I'm assuming you are trying to say that this was the gist of my post and that I'm a fanboy. I would never say that you're screwed as I don't have a view of your personal life or preferences ;)

To sum up. You liked Gigli over Matrix 2&3, I prefered the latter.

Can we leave it here? Please? I like you really... :D

Well since i have made a thread about the best films released so far this year i might as well make one for the worst....the negative aspect that all rabroad members seem to like to discuss.

Well i would put in my vote for the Matrix...........but then again the last 2 sequals weren't THAT bad but very disapointing, the reviews the film i, for one agreed with, just sheer disapointment. But i guess the films appeal are only for those core fans. I for one aint one.

So the worst film this year..mmmmm....let me think......lets start off with the obvious shall we!

Gigli............havent watched it but it must be crap.......just MUST be.....Okay i admit i did watch it....well only a little bit but yes even though the video was pirated and the picture was horrible the film sucked.

The Hulk................would have been a great summer blockbuster if it wasnt for the 20 or so minutes of waiting to see the actual hulk:rolleyes:

Dumb and dumberer.........no need to ask why it was worst.

2 Fast and 2 furious.........Remember this film????............I thought so.

Texas chainsaw massacre.......wasnt a total bad movie but it shouldn't of been made the original is still king.

and theres so many others but all in all its been quite a good year for movies.

no i've changed my mind about "dark water" the worst film of 2003.without any question in my mind was "Bruce almighty". That was AWFUL. That not only goes as my worst film for 2003 but one of my worst films ever

Have any of you NOT seen Jeepers Creepers 2?! that was absolute bollox!!!

There you are all saying that the Marix sequels were the worst films, but you have got to admit the special effects are the best you have ever seen, it was a good film and definetely not the worst!

Woops that final quote was supposed to be from homershaggy, guess I didnt copy the name correctly and hence when I went to paste it your name must have still been in the clipboard.

Oh and Its only revolutions I hated more than gigli

I know this isn't worst film of 2003 but Film 2003 with John Ross says that Titanic is the worst film ever. Right, worst film of 2003, if i wasn't a Terminator 3 fan, then I'll have to say that was it. but for now, i'll say the Matrix series.

I guess I'd have to say Bruce Almighty was the worst film I saw at the cinema all year, but even that was OK. A bit disappointing considering how much I enjoyed the Truman Show, which was along similarish lines. I guess other films such as the Matrix sequels were just disappointing. But I'm happy to say I didn't see any downright bad films this year (yet, anyway.....).

i disliked the majority of matrix reloaded but it wasnt as bad as "dark water".now that is 2 hours of my life i would like back please!

OMG I have a nomination.

Cat in the Hat

I don't know what the release date is here but I've just watched it and it's an absolute bag of shite!

I had to force myself to watch it in it's entirity hoping to find something redeeming about it. There isn't. THere is the odd moment but it just doesn't justify watching the film.

And that flippin talking fish.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS TURKEY!!!!!

I need to sit down...

Matrix Revolutions would get my vote of biggest dissapoitment... They really should have had a break between 2 and 3 and had a proper think about a story for the 3rd one. Really a franchise wrecking movie if ever there was one!

I suppose the most important question that can be asked in reply to your post is, "did your children enjoy it?"
I can only assume, but I believe that the Cat in the Hat is aiming at less older audience, just like the books. This may explain why you dislike it, because from what I have seen it looks like a very enjoyable film (especially for children).
