The 'Transformers Sucked' Thread

I love you Michael Bay haters. You just cannot fathom liking one of his movies.

Has he made horrendous ones? Yes. Pearl Harbor, etc.

If you have some critiques of his film, fine...but labeling it one of the worst ever made...

I enjoyed the movie. I went expecting a not so good movie, but instead i watched a movie born in awesometown. Its like all the hype that was around spiderman 3. I was HIGHLY disappointed in that movie simply because of all the hype around it. I went into Transformers with the idea that it sucked, and well, I was pleasantly surprised with how fun/awesome it was.

because I TOLD YOU SO MONTHS AGO

oh SHIT, thats funny. ...
I thought the movie was a good "popcorn" flick. fast paced and fun to watch, what the fuck do you expect from one of his films? The Island was the same way but this was wayyy better.

wow, seeing how a few tear into the movie about its blatant stereotypes and redundant cliches, its hard to understand how any one of you enjoy any movie whatsoever.

If you boil down nearly every action movie/summer blockbuster etc. theres gonna be the exact same bullshit you keep tearing apart Transformers for. So i don't get how any movie thats been made in the last 2decades can even be considered entertainment by any of you.

Yet you guys continue to go see these films like somethings gonna be different. "Typical Bay movie...." so why did you pay to see it when you knew exactly what to expect; a complete disappointment.

imo you guys lose, its so apparent to you guys what movies are now a days, yet you're still in the theater next to "the people who are eating it up!"

You're so fucking stupid it makes my face hurt.

You honestly can't think of any reason we don't like the film other than Michael Bay, even when we fucking list it? God you're a moron.

I agree with you on some points (removing the hackers, slimming the Sector Seven thing, too long, etc), but some of those points are pretty nit picky and strike me as just trying to make it seem like there's more wrong with the movie than you want to admit.

What's wrong with using Hoover Dam? Your details here are overwhelming! Why are you complaining about their use of Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Physics? What's wrong with them saying the "Deepest Trench in the World" instead of the Mariana Trench, which most people won't know the name of, and they'd probably have to say the "deepest trench in the world" regardless. Isn't it true that most American's don't even know where the hell the Middle East is on a globe? While sad, if they didn't put Qatar - The Middle East, a lot of people wouldn't know where they hell it was taking place at.

For the transformers complaints, what's wrong with details? Would you have preferred the blocky style of transforming they used in the cartoons? I thought it looked cool, personally. I'm guessing you didn't see Optimus's mask, which he removed to talk but kept when he fought (I saw this a couple of days ago for a midnight showing, so I might be wrong on this). Complaining about how not all of them had cannons? What's wrong with that? Some people prefer swords over guns. Nothing wrong with that, right?

I'm not trying to be an ass, I'm just honestly curious.

There are also some people who can only talk about the director of the movie, the writer, the subject, the inspiration or anything else except the movie itself, and fail to accept others opinions by lambasting their critique, citing their supposed dislike of one of the aforementioned instead of dislike for the film itself.

What's insulting to my intelligence is having alien robots. I mean, seriously! I went into this expecting everything to be realistic and totally faithful to the Transformers universe!
