Not long ago I asked a question in the law and ethics section about whether or not it was illegal to sunbathe topless in your own backyard. A couple of people were horrified that a woman would do such a thing. I grew up in a country where it was very popular to be topless at the beach or public pools. No one thought anything of it. Now I live in the US and I had no idea how offensive people find female breasts.
It can't be just about the breasts themselves because I see men walking around topless all the time. Some of them have bigger ones than me!
