The Tonight Show anime parody

I am watching the Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien right now, they just went to a commercal, and Conan said when they come back, him and Andy will do some over work for Japanese animation.

I will keep you updated, after it airs, like to hear your thoughts.

Basicly what happened, Conan and Andy visited Bang Zoom Studios, and they did their own abridged version of Ghost In The Shell.

It was good exposure for the people there, including voice director Tony Oliver, as well as good exposure for anime. Having a segment on the Tonight Show is good for business. So thanks Conan.

For those that missed it (like me), you can watch it here. Loved when Conan and Andy shouted "MANNGGAAAAAAAAAAA!" and "Fish that haven't been fed in.......... days."

They should put this on a Manga DVD at some point.

This was hilarious but I feel that in a way it misrepresents Anime as being overcomplicated and full of boobies.

Granted it isn't off the mark, but still

Hilarious. SyFy should get Conan and Andy to dub the promos for Ani Monday. Also Conan did a pretty good job as Chief Aramaki.

Honestly, this was really funny.

Anime fans should't take offense at this. It helps more than hurts. So what if they made fun of breasts and short skirts? It's true.

I think the only people out there who will miss the point on this are the usual idiots who don't get that just because a comedian makes fun of something doesn't mean they're openly inviting hate. This was obviously a good natured parody which highlighted some elements that deserved to be poked fun at. I'm sure the same idiots who flame anime fans will think Conan was inviting more of their stupidity, but more fool them.

To be honest, when I was watching it, I never felt that Conan was making fun or hating on anime. I always thought it was for good laughs.

Some anime/manga fans need to take a joke.

Technically, Ani-Monday and the Tonight Show do compete (on Mondays at least), so it might be a problem... But NBC owns SyFy, so...

Conan's also shown hentai clips (for humor, obviously) at other times, so this isn't unprecedented.
