'The Social Network' - Starring Justin Timberlake & Armie Hammer.

Just saw an advanced screening, thought it was pretty damn awesome and would recommend it to anyone. Very intelligent and interesting story which shows the ruthlessness of business. Felt pretty sorry for Eduardo and it makes Mark Zuckelberg look like a total arsehole, and Sean(founder of napster) an even bigger arsehole.

Awesome music as well, really is probably my film of the year so far if not the last few years. I was rooted to my seat and the 2 hours goes really fast for such a dialog driven movie, it really is just students talking about ideas and their relationships while starting up a multi-billion dollar company

It sounRAB a boring idea for a movie but it really is shakespere-ish, i realise not all of it is true as well. Go see it when you can! I think it will get Oscar nominations, Jesse Eisenberg really does put in an awesome performance.

I too just saw an advanced screening. I thought it was brilliant, great performances all round. Fincher really did a good job on this one and Aaron Sorkin's screenplay was very sharp and very amusing in places. Garfield's performance was the stand out one though for me, gives me great hope for him as Spider Man (obviously very different roles).

It's supposedly based on the book 'The Accidental Billionaires' by Ben Mezrich, which streamlines the facebook story into a digestible narrative. He also wrote 'Bringing Down The House' which became the movie '21' (which starred Kevin Spacey who I think is producing this one?).

Based on my experience of Mezrich's books (own all of them) and the movie '21' I think this will probably be a decent and entertaining film, but the book will be better!

I didn't think it would make a very interesting movie, despite being a decent book, but I have to admit the trailer has me won me round (for now!)

Looking forward to this.

However, this is a typical Hollywood 'fact plus fiction' script so don't think that the story portrayed is 100% truth - plus the book it uses as a main source has been widely discredited.

Still, if it's entertaining...

The book sets to be re released in September so I guess it'll be a film-tie in. I havn't read the book so i'll wait for the re-release :)

Something tells me this movie is going to be one of those limited showings...the DVD is alreayd listed on amazon (with no date yet of course).

it's very good .

so surprising that it's directed by Fincher , nothing like his other movies . on paper it sounRAB like a tv movie , but all the performances are great and it's just very compelling .

Awwww what about Tom from Myspace doesn't he get a film about his "struggle" :)

I heard Aaron Sorkin is associated with this film so it might be worth a look, although Timberlake makes it less desirable for me.

Jesse Eisenberg will probably be the sole reason I do not go and see this film.

Can't stand the sight of him, or bear his annoying whiney voice. He was rubbish in Adventureland (however, that film itself was also shite) and he wasn't the right choice for Zombieland.

He's just a poor man's Michael Cera.
