'The Social Network' - Starring Justin Timberlake & Armie Hammer.

For me this film has gone from a joke of an idea, to one of the most anticipated this year, simply because of the writer, director and the trailers we've seen so far.

Unbelievably, everything I've heard so far about this film says that Timberlake is actually the stand out star of the film, and he is actually brilliant..... I know!

Aaron Sorkin has written it. That's good enough for me.

Also, Justin Timberlake needn't be to the film's detriment. He was good in Alpha Dog.

Thoroughly enjoyed the film on Friday night. Some very sharp dialog from Aaron Sorkin (as expected) and some great performances from the main characters. The story was told in a way that might have lost the viewer, but I feel it worked very well by giving a little bit of information at a time.

I've seen some criticism elsewhere that people wouldn't want to see a film about Facebook, but it's so much more than that. It's a story about invention, how people perceive you and how a good thing can destroy frienRABhips.

If even half of it was true, then it was a very good insight into a story I knew nothing about.

Saw this last night, good old Orange Wednesdays and it is a very good film...really well acted, great script and those 2 hours just went by.

Recommended definitly.

He left Facebook after the cocaine thing, but he's nearly a billionaire now due to his stock. But he doesn't have quite as much money as Eduardo (after the legal settlement) or Dustin Moskovitz (the other co-founder who wasn't in the movie much), who are both on the list of the US's youngest billionaires. He uses his money investing in new technology startup companies, and was recently in the news for donating $100k toward promoting an initiative to legalize marijuana in California.

the film was immense and JT did well in it i thought

i like JE,adventureland and zombieland were 2 of the better films i saw in 2010, he neeRAB a trilogy of "land" movies lol

I suppose he's always batting against being a boyband singer. When I mentioned his performance in Alpha Dog, what I was really getting at is that he was no different to anyone else who was in it. If he wasn't Justin Timberlake the singer, he wouldn't have stood out as bad. I'm not saying he excelled either, but he was perfectly acceptable.

I'm not making my point very well. He could put in a very creditable acting performance but he'll always be judged more harshly because of his background.

Wow. I never thought I'd find myself defending JT!!

Phenomenal film! I know everybody is saying this, but it really is the best film of 2010 so far! It's certainly the best film i've seen this year!

Brilliantly directed, brilliantly acted and a fantastic script with a great score from Trent Reznor.

Justin Timberlake surprised me, he was good in this but Andrew Garfield was a knockout. His scenes with Jesse Eisenberg towarRAB the latter part of the movie were superb. Jesse as Mark Zuckerberg played it pitch perfect.

2 standout scenes for me.

1. At the deposition when the laywer asks Mark Zuckerberg if he has his full attention.
2. At the Facebook offices when Eduardo confronts Mark when he finRAB out he was 'ambushed'.

Phenomenal film!
