A new episode airs tonight at 8 PM Eastern. This is the first episode of the new season, production-wise. Here is the synopsis:
 
Finally, a Bart episode, sounds out of character for him to do this but whatever. I'm sure Lisa will take part in this some how :shrug:
 
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the first actual Bart-centered episode of the season? I haven't been following it very closely, as the season opener (the Glee crossover) was so awful that I haven't brought myself to sit through another episode since.
 
Actually, she DOES have a lare part in this episode. I hope the writers write her off for a few episodes later in the season. This is just torture for her to have big parts and the other Simpson characters left out.
 
Man, this is gonna be a busy night for us. Simpsons, Cleveland, Family Guy, American Dad, then 90 minutes of Futurama and right after an hour of Venture Bros. I might need some coffee, dude. :ack:

On topic, haven't seen Burnsie on the show for a minute so I'm looking forward to it.

This couch gag...should be a shock, but considering the studio....

Well, this episode certainly seemed to have the quality of previous episodes. Unfortunately, I was deprived of the ending when my satellite went out on me and had to reboot. Still, I wonder why they completely forgot about the fact that Burns was still going to die.
 
This was a very, solid episode. I want Burns' skull chair!

Although, I didn't much care for the 'Maggie with gun' gag. I'm getting tired of them. Yes, it's funny that a baby shot an old man, but it was funny was because it was an accident, so no need to keep reminding us, Maggie is no Stewie.

Highlights: poking fun at the 'already did it/Under The Dome comparison, the Avatar opening, Burns trying to crush sea turtles in his last act, etc.
 
After watching the past half hour, all I can say is: "Wow, the Beatles are finally available on iTunes!".

As for the Simpsons episode, I'm impressed they took the last few seconds of Weekend at Burnsies and managed to make 2/3rd's of an episode around it. Making Burns the human-cartoon puppet is another reason to believe the writers don't know, or care they're do-dooing all over the past characters they've spent years developing. Sure, making Burns a human doormat might seem funny on paper, but it was not, or the better argument is lack the talent to pull it off with any style. Granted the very beginning with the TV executives creating fake controversy was funny, but that doesn't save this from an "F."
 
Wow, very, very, surprisingly good episode. A lot of visual gags (like Burns being knocked around the forest) that had me rolling. A lot of real, actual laughs, instead of the sort of "I realize that was funny" sort of chuckle I usually give.
 
That's it, I'm not watching The Simpsons episodes till its a none Lisa episode! :mad: 1/5 This episode gets from me, not that many good jokes as last weeks episode either.
