I went to see it yesterday with my frienRAB, we all enjoyed it but it did lack something.
The start of the film cracked me up with Ralf on the 20th Century Fox thing going da da da da...! And of course Bart's nude skate boarding. So many funny moments in the movie, lol all these 6/7 year olRAB were running around asking where spiderpig has gone! They should really include him in the series, everyone loves Plopper! lmao arnie I was elected to lead etc.
I will give it 7.5-8 out of 10. :D
 
WOO I just got back and i was not dissapointed i laughed my ass of for the whole hour and a half and most reviews seemed to suggest that it stalled a little in the middle but i found it never let down its paceiwas gripped by it all it was laugh non-stop and there was so many things from:

from green days(dadadadDADA) performance
to barts nude skateboarding
to the pig (aka spiderpig)
to president swarshnegger
to the dome escape from the house
to alaskas undressing for sex with the animals as they watch on in shock horror
the crazy woman giveing homer CRAZY advice with her BOOBS.

i loved this movie and they did not let us down i feel
the animation was amazing it was good to see really well drawn 2d mixed with 3d animations.
BEST MOVIE IVE SEEN THIS SUMMER
its my favorite cartoon and comedy movie now

i cant wait for the DVD.
ooh did anyone stay for the credits where maggie says her second word-SEQUAL- I hope so:)
 
The credits were funny.
I loved how Lisa had to wait to see that no animals were harmed in the making and the Springfield anthem lol.
 
I went this afternoon to see this.I really enjoyed it

I thought the scene where Homer thought he had escaped from the dome but it was his refelction was pretty funny.

I also liked the scene when Wiggum told Burns that they were frying a prisoner tomorrow so they needed electricity.
 
Maggie said her 2nd word?!?! Argh! I missed it! The lights went up and we all left. How far into it is it? I am seeing it again as my boyfriend is a huuuuge simpsons fan as am I!

I saw it today, so funny. Cannot wait for the DVD now. My first simspons DVD lol.

and foxs advert running on the end i had to read it and was dying to look back at homer and bart haha

they actually got away with a bit for a PG dont ya think?
 
really enjoyed it, but there were a couple of joke that just werent right for a movie..


the "we advertise now in movies" didnt really work.... going to see a movie is meant to make you feel like your part of this big story, and having that come up across the screen kind of brought you back into the real world.

The 2nd one was the "to be continued.... immediately"... a bit of a wasted joke since everyone knew it wasnt going to end there.... and again kind of broke the natural flow of the movie.

Was definately not just another extended episode or anything, but with those 2 jokes in it, I can understand why some people may have thought so!

Anyone notice that Patty and Selma's lines were completely cut out???
 
Loved it! Loved it!

From Ralph Wiggum singing to the FOX Signature tune to Maggie's "Sequel?". Really great.

Loved the To Be Continued, and hearing the audience go "What?", and then it carrying on! HeHeHe

Loved all the covert jokes, and it was funny to see the ambulance there still at Springfield Gordge! LOL!
 
While i REALLY enjoyed this film, i get the feeling that the UK version was shreaded to make it a PG.

What happened to that bit in the first scene after homer knocks the hammer in his eye, where homer strangles bart while saying "I'll teach you to laugh at something thats funny!!"? I've got a feeling that wasnt the only cut part to make this fit a PG rating.
 
That scene was in the film.

A scene that was changed however was when Homer knocked over all the 'No Dumping' signs before dumping the silo in the lake. In the Season 9 DVD set there is a movie taster which shows this scene, and the last knocked over sign had 'B*STARD!!' on it. This didn't appear in the film.

sjcuk2006, you have to wait right to the end, and it's as the credits roll that certain things happen, including Maggie saying her second word... worth waiting for! :)
