Oh, good, another backpeddling flashback that'll contradict every other flashback episode they've done.

Good lord, not another one of these. Lets see how many ways they can spit all over the show's continuity this week.

Yeah I hate flashbacks episodes like this. They really should stop because as the series goes on Bart and Lisa keep having to be born in later years and it's just... ugh. That's why every sane person pretends That 90s Show doesn't exist to preserve the classics like The Way We Was, I Married Marge, Lisa's First Word, etc.

As far as the show's continuity is (was) concerned this wasn't how Marge and and Homer met Flanders. Oh well. I guess I should be used to this nonsense by now.

You shouldn't have to shut your brain off to enjoy the Simpsons. Family Guy is a show you shut your brain off and enjoy. Not Simpsons. Simpsons was always a show that rewarded you for thinking and paying attention. Now it's just...I don't know.

Oh goodie. Homer pissed off Marge again. Oh noes! What's going to happen to them?! I hope they don't break up! Oh wait...this is a flashback episode, so who cares.

Anyway, this episode isn't really horrible. It's not great but it's certainly better than last week's.

And there's a U.S. Army commercial. It's not FOX Sunday until I see one of those. LOL

It wasn't as bad as I anticipated. I was amused at Bart and Lisa's bickering.

From now on, if The Simpsons can't engage me or make me laugh a fairly decent amount by the end of the first act, I'll turn it off. Guess what I did tonight if I had to bring this up.
