The Secret Millionaire

Personally, I think alot of it is to make us aware.
We don't usually give other people in need the time of day, because most of the time we are too damn selfish.
But if shows like this raise awareness, let it be.
The manner may be wrong, but take the Donna's Dream House. They are now getting a considerable amount of donations through the show. A well worth while course if you ask me.
Some millionaires do look greedy, and some probably do go in it for themselves. But it's amazing when you see some of the millionaires and the journeys some of them go on to realise how greedy they've been and how to make a change. E.g. Gary Eastwood.

It's quite moving, not just because of the money handed out and the way it's changed people's lives, but also because of Hilary's loneliness. What is the point of having a huge manor house like that if it's just her and her son?

Agreed! It's hardly like the pace of a Big Brother Highlights show thread or Dr Who season final thread is it?

Says a lot on the state of the Nation.

there not very far from blackpool thats my point, its not all bad in blackpool, i live in marton and its very nice here
you clearly havnt been for a while!

Don't you need CRB checks to work with children and it says on her web site she had a nanny to look after Ashley yet they didn't give that impression on the programme.

Oh dear sorry am such a cynic but it is heart wrenching stuff

Hehe I was thinking that too!

It's all a bit contrived...

"You want to work behind my bar? Why yes, when can you start?"

"You want to help put at my luncheon club, and you have a camera crew in tow. Why yes, of course..."

Do tell, quick the aRAB are on.

She sounRAB like a paper millionaire to me.
Given the current state of the property market, she might not be a millionaire any more.

Yes I got that impression also - that he wanted to get his face on the telly more than anything else - think thats why he probably went on DD as well
