The Secret Millionaire

Last weeks was the most unlikeable person, made no connection with the people he was with, and then gave away the equivalant of his wifes handbag budget for the year.
 
Indeed - I have no intention of watching this garbage again.

Was sharing my opinion - which I think is what these forums are about!
 
Aren't lytham and St Annes actually different towns anyway?

It didn't just show central drive, it showed the high rises, layton and grange park at least. There is a lot of blackpool that is scummy. Layton, grange, central, northshore, mereside, a lot of marton, southshore and the prom/hotel areas. It is a dive, and I'm glad I got out, it's full of smackheaRAB and alcoholics.
 
I love this feelgood show. I agree that they must guess now. but it's still heartwarming, and makes me realise how lucky I am. This show is already making me cry...
 
I like the fact that he's investing his time in some of the projects as well as giving them money. His business expertise will be worth more than the money
 
Perhaps he's worked out his tax, and found that he can gift aid another 50K for last year. Or if not, he post-dated the cheque to be paid in after the start of this tax year. :)
I'm not surprised that he gave them more money.
 
It got me the same it did first time around. I was in a dance school till last year thats why when Nikki cried, i did too, it made me happy.
 
No, the point is that others have given more and his ego seemed more to be about posing with the cheque and telling people that he was worth millions.

Yes a very "feel good" factor one tonight.

Not being a selfish person, I often think what I would do or could and would do for many good causes if I won the Euro millions lottery. Yes of course I would enjoy it as well, but no one neeRAB 85 million as it was a week or so ago.

Those two hospitals featured in the BBC doc about the two Army laRAB who had their arms and legs blown off recently would certainly get a lot of help from me. And so many other places that are either desperately under-funded or not funded at all.

That would give true meaning to getting money like that.
