Do you guys think this'll be good? I thought the first one was quite scary, but I dont think this one will be so good..

Considering its being directed by Hideo Nakata, the original Japanese director of Ringu and Ringu 2, it should be great. The Japanese version of The Ring was so much better than the American version, a lot darker and scarier so hopefully this will come across! Looking forward to it.

I think im the only person who thinks the japanese ring film was rubbish, i much preferred the american remake.

Cant wait for ring 2.

I think it all comes down to which order you watched them in. If you watched the american one before the original, you'll probably think Ringu was 'rubbish'.

The jap version was alot scarier and darker. The american version built on the storyline and background of the characters but lost in the darkness and scaryness.

Ringu 2 will probably be the opposite. And I guess the american version is going to try out scare the jap one.

I cant wait to see The Ring 2 as the trailer does look really good. I just hope its at least as good as the Japanese Ring 2 but I am not holding much hope as the Japanese version of The Ring was better than the American remake!

Ring 2 isnt being released in the UK untill Friday 1st April according to the BBC and Empire website!

I'm one of those people who watched the japanese Ringu before the american remake, and liked both. I am looking forward to the american Ring 2, especially after seeing the trailer, but I am VERY relieved to note that it's an original script rather than a rehash of the japanese Ring 2.
I am a bit concerned that these Japanese inspired movies are all a little "samey", and I hope that the new Ring 2 bucks that trend.

Yes she is but The Ring 2 is not a remake of ringu or rasen, it's a totally different and new story.

The first Ring was a 15 so I guess The Ring 2 will also be a 15 when it is released!

There will be a new Region 1 (US) version of The Ring on DVD which will be relased on the 8th of March. It will have a short 16 minute film on the DVD which is called Rings and it fills in the gap between the end of the first movie and the start of the second. I am not sure yet if it will be released over in the UK but I think it is very likely as Dreamworks will want to make as much money as possible from The Ring films!
