The Restaurant 2009

This series is just awful compared to the previous two. Do you think Monsieur Blanc had some kind of contractual obligation to do X amount of series but got fed up after two, so then he decided to sabotage series 3 to the extent that no one in their right mind would recommission it?

Such a shame...however...finding the magnificent rantings of Buck Tarbrush has more than made up for the chronically disappointing programme he/she is reviewing. Every cloud and all that.

I thought when Stephen had to do the public speaking, it was very unfair.

Why should chefs be able to handle a cooking demonstration with a huge crowd looking on? I know I couldnt have done that. Although he did well by going through with it.

Its a shame that RB used that as an excuse to get rid of them.

Oh and the plane cake was hilarious!

I agree, although I don't think anyone knows the answer to my question from a few weeks' back when I asked if this was possible under the programme's rules.
Of the teams which stayed the course, JJ and James did seem to have the best customer interaction, but (as many have said) that should not have been enough to win this particular competition.

As for the question someone else raised about another series I think that the simple answer is that controversial "car crash" reality programmes attract comment and therefore viewers so there probably will be another series. My only question is whether or not the selection policy and/or "prize" will change.

If a programme such as MasterChef can survive with a prize of what is effectively a training period in a Michelin restaurant, why not something similar for The Restaurant?
