The Restaurant 2009

Well no! It isn't! the 'big brother' wannabees were cast aside at the first stage but everybody is 'cast' by their 'idea' of a restaurant, if they can do it or not is another matter!

Where is an applause smiley when you need one!

This whole sorry saga has left me with a deep sense of unease..it was disingenuous to say the least. Blancs continued failure to update his blog as promised speaks volumes. As you say...a bad, bad dream!

Question for Goddess (if you're still around) - you've told us what you thought of the show, but have you kept in touch with any of the other couples and what do they think of the final result?

Devils in the detail I imagine, if what James and JJ were running previously was not classed in a business sense as a restaurant then I imagine they still qualified. Plenty of previous contestants have worked in various tangential capacities, eg in hospitality or pub management, and at various levels of food preparation from local catering to full chef status.

Something I'm noticing on this program it does focus on the negative! Daisy and Nadine's opening night looked like tremenous fun but was little featured! and how did B&B get rest of the week, we saw nothing much of their opening either!

There has been a lot of work put in to this production wise! much respect to the runners and researchers setting up things!!! I tried to get into the Executive Producers knickers a little and make a good foodie TV program but no it didn't work! The word 'Sustainable' was already bouncing on the trampoline! Whoo! Whoo! look at that little guy go! :p

Barney is going to 'go off on one' (just as he did during training at the beeb only to be calmed and stroked back!... ooh why do people love volitile cooks!!)

Steve is a polite deep fryed Gordon and Rebecca is going to be shocked at any food that isn't a ready meal :eek::eek:

JJ and James are just as!

Daisy and Nadine are nice but may make chewy rabbit!

Chris will cook and Nathan will sleep!

:p:p
