The Restaurant 2009

I think that is unfair. It feels that the judges now were only given half the story so to speak and so didnt have the full details when they made their decision. I'm sure the production staff had their programme in mind when feeding information back to the judges (i.e. what makes good tv as opposed to what really happened).

I appeared on a reality show once and I can quite believe the editing part. You have no control over what is shown and what isnt and a lot of what IS shown is sometimes taken out of context. However, when you sign up for these things I think you have to bear that in mind when taking part.

This programme has lost credibility with each show and it was so bad last time I refused to even watch the final. Not surprised there won't be one this year.

I can't abide Raymond now and won't even watch his kitchen secrets, despite the fact that I am addicted to cookery shows!

The first couple were shoehorned into mr. Blanc's brasserie concept. Whereas they had Michelin star aspirations. From day one they were unhappy about the concept of a brasserie and quit after a few months to start their own restaurant.

Is there any coverage in any of the red tops about the backlash? Would have thought they would have made a meal of the whole thing!

Message from Crazy Ray HQ:

Dear BBC Licence Payers,

You are all stupid little people who know nothing about business nor television programmes. Your tiny intellect can not deal with the intricacies of choosing a winner of a competition that selects suitable partners to open and run a restaurant.

You think a chef neeRAB to be able to cook? Pah! I thumb my nose at your ignorance, I laugh at your gullibility and I sneer at your sense of right and wrong.

Only I, the Great Crazy Ray Blanc, can decide what makes a great chef and it is I who has chosen JJ. So what if he is a smarmy, arrogant, charmless, talentless, sweaty twerp? He can make cocktails! Can you, foolish British viewers?

Don't answer, I don't care, I am Crazy Ray and I do not need nor ask for your agreement regarding the television competition you were stupid enough to fund.

Only I, the supreme arbiter of all things quality and perfect, I, the great French chef and beloved icon, can know the reason I chose JJ.

You, pathetic TV viewers, are not worthy of my consideration. I hate you all!

Au revoir, mon amies,

Please keep buying my products, eating at my restaurants and most of all, watching my BBC advertorials.

Bon chance!

Crazy Ray Blanc xxx

Yeh! I do know!:) I've been keeping my eye out for months, Buck is ace!

BTW... Stokes Croft looks could have been a drop in for us since we wanted to run an 'ethicial and sustainable' restaurant, bit of urban regen' would be right up my street!

I got the impression that the Winkers were the chosen ones as well! I suppose they have a novel concept as being the restaurant with a chef that doesn't cook!
