The Apprentice is a good example of a programme which is only worth watching for its comedy value. It has no credibility as a business programme because the contestants are selected for their personality not their ability. At least Dragons' Den focuses on the competitors' business plans and - more or less - ignores their personalities.
This series of The Restaurant is a disappointment because of the way it's been pared down, presumably to cut costs. But it still allows those who can cook to show that they can, and those that can run front-of-house to demonstrate their talent. There are some talented contestants this time, just no standout team. Maybe that's intentional, in which case it's a mistake.
