I had to make myself choose in a few categories as well. I was all tied up. :blush:

You have to watch Rear Window, you two! It's excellent. It's a great thriller - and it's really funny at the same time. One of the best introductions I could ever have had into the movies of Alfred Hitchcock.

Yes, I've heard of Disturbia, but because most movie remakes/adaptations/etc of classic Hollywood tends to be a bit... dodgy, I decided not to watch it. I mean, nobody replaces James Stewart. Especially not some 20 year old upstart who looks about 12 (no offense fans of Shia LaBeouf!).
 
I was surprised at some of the votes and some mentioned that they couldn't vote because they couldn't choose. So I wonder how that effected the results.

I have been recieving single PM's with ONE vote in them. If you do not send all your votes in one Private Message or two, if needed, then your votes will not be accepted.

Also, I ask that they all be sent in one to two messages because my inbox can only hold 150 messages.

You can start writing down some Movies from 2007 only you're thinking of nominating and when the categories are posted, which will be in a new thread, you can nominate them in the appropriate category! :)
 
"The Reel Awards" started in October of 2007. There are more than one for this year because it is the first year they have been done.

This round that people are currently voting on are for movies from 1930 - 2006 only.

In January 2008 I will host the last round of "The Reel Awards" and that round will have movies from only 2007.

Then next January 2009, there will be a round of "The Reel Awards" for all movies from 2008.

The only reason they are taking this long is because I wanted to include previous years, all the way back to 1930.

Then each year after, "The Reel Awards" will start in January with a first round where everyone sends in their nominations and then after the list is compiled and posted, you will get the chance to vote. :)
 
Those would have been great additions!

I haven't seen Rear Window, but I've heard that Disturbia, starring Shia LeB???? is not a remake, but based on that plot line.
