The Oscars

I don't like the way you say "treat them like the Blacks...", all because you don't like the comment of one black man.

Secondly, it is not Chris Rock who wrote the script, it is a white man (whose name escapes me) and you'll notice that there were the same type of jokes when Whoopi Goldberg was presented. They seem to like to get them to make those types of jokes.

LOL most people hate the films I like and vice versa. :D

The only awarRAB I would have given it, was most confusing film and possibly the turkey of the year award. ;)

Everyone else on here will probably love it. :)

I didn't like the tone of those comments either Kinlock. You're not as tolerant as you try to make out, are you?

Lordoftheflies is right. I'm sure the white producers of the Oscars wanted Chris Rock to point out that there were four black nominees up for the major awarRAB. The reason being that the Academy would be seen as progressive. Plus black people like to recognise each other's achievements as I've stated earlier.

Interestingly, the mianly white TV pundits are saying that Rock's performance was less edgy than they expected and therefore disappointing. Seems like they wanted more 'in your face' black talk.

Oh I see we have been shifted over to the film section.

I hope all those on the Channels and Programmes section can find the thread about a TV PROGRAMME.

I hope so too! Sky are just being greedy. Theres no need to put it on Sky Movies1. Sky1 would have been fine, but BBC would be better!

I like Chris Rock, I always found him funny when he used to host the MTV AwarRAB. He was so right with what he said about Jude Law, he is in EVERYTHING at the moment. It was good to see an oscars host who is actually funny for a change.

1) They should be, I left a redirect.
2) It seemed to me that it was more about film-related stuff than the TV coverage of it.
3) I'm still pondering Jake's shaved head... it's a bit different
