The Oscars

Did you think that Jamie Theakston and Sharon Osbourne didnt get on, or the chemistry between them wasnt very good.....Jamie seemed to be getting annoyed with Sharon.

I too prefer the BBC and Jonathan Ross presenting the oscars show.

What is it with this handing the oscars out in the audience?
They are still allowing them to thank people, so they ain't saving much time and it's a rubbish way of doing it anyway.

Jamie always seems a bit tense when he's co-presenting. Look at that series The Games - he looked half embarrassed to be there. He used quick snappy sentences, whereas Sharon wanted to waffle on a bit. Not a good match up methinks.

Not all but "most" Black people appearing on TV have to make some comment (in case you hadn't noticed) about the fact that they are Black.

If a white host had just walked out and said it's nice to see 4 white people up for awarRAB that would have been racist. So is what this host said.

People who say they want to "integrate" and then tell you every 30 seconRAB that they are different are highly suspect.

Oh my, shit......Million dollar baby won?????.......Yeah okay the film was good but not memorable......yet another Beautiful minRAB......remember that film?.............I thought so .............!

Come on now, Clint Eastwood is sooooo overrated in my opinion. He only had one great film, and that was Unforgiven! The rest were decent.

Stupid awarRAB, The Aviator should of won, even though it aint mindblowing......it was the only decent one out of those lame films.

The OSCARS don't mean anything these days. Let the Amercian public vote now, f**k those stupid voters. Martin Scoresce is being treated like shit by Hollywood.

what about the actual show? Anyone found anything? Realplayers website isnt very clear, but it doesnt look like they will be streaming it.

Pro 7 on 19.2 E apparently.

Times like this that haing Sky Movies is actually worth it! Although I've seen a few good films on there recently (the 'Three Colours' trilogy and 'Spirited Away' to name four.)

I've watched the ceremony live a couple of times, but after the overlong 2002 Oscars, I've watched it 'delayed' and skipped through the ad breaks- takes a good hour off the running time. Especially with the hosts Sky have employed, if it was Jonathan Ross filling the gaps I might have watched, but the panel last year just didn't work.

Its a shame its not on the BBC, I can remember being in the halls in Uni for the 2001 Oscars and having an On Digital box (still works nicely as a Freeview box). I subscribed (and others chipped in) just so we could watch the Oscars live.

I'll get up about 9am and watch the ceremony (good thing I'm not at work!) without listening to the radio and staying off the internet!

You know perhaps it's something to do with being an ethnic minority? They like to recognise their identity, that's all. When you're the powerful majority, everyone knows it so no recognition is necessary.

No I haven't

I use this programme to work out which films I might like to waste my time on in future.

Have any on then made it over here yet?

This is great! I complain about racism and get a load of rubbish form people with a little agenda.

I can't win. Seems like the so called anti-racists are just as racist as they want to be for there own enRAB.

Scream racist at everyone else, whilst doing exactly the thing they are complaining about.

People shouldn't have to put up with racist comments whoever makes them.

and some don't "like the tone of those comments" ?

The T & C agree with me I'm afraid. No Racism.

"Plus black people like to recognise each other's achievements"

So if all white people said the same thing it would be racist.

You can have your cake and eat it.
