They pretty well say, then, that if you want benefits, you must participate in these religious practices. Why can't the government use civil unions as the leading "marriage"/joining of a couple for benefits and etc? A civil union wouldn't have to be for only homosexual couples. It would be for those who are not Christian, but rather, simply American, because apparently, only Christians should have rights to be joined and receive benefits.

We know that Christianity is certainly not the only religion in America anymore...Government should have nothing to do with faith.
